This is my entry in the Fantasmical 2023 writing contest. The contest is the collaboration of twelve fantasy profiles each of which will provide a prompt for a story in their subgenre of fantasy. Contestants are to create a unique character that takes on the adventures posed by the prompts.
I am entering the contest because ever since my adventures in @CFarley982 's book "Vision Quest" readers have been nagging me to write my own book. As much as I like to tell stories, my problem was that I couldn't decide on a plot to pursue. This contest solves that problem for me by providing a series of prompts for plots, so I don't have to decide. I plan to write a story for each prompt. As required by the contest each story will be a separate chapter of less than 1000 words. I apologize for the abruptness of many of the chapters, but 1000 words is a tight fit.
My intent is not to try and create the ultimate fantasy story. I'm a coyote after all and am only able to post these stories through a telepathic link with a human who is typing them in for me. The human is Amy and these are her stories told from her perspective.
Fantasy is not my chosen genre. I prefer and am better at humor, and the unexpected than in the transportive and delightfully descriptive writing displayed by the talented fantasy writers entered in this contest. I am so glad I am not a judge who has to choose between them.
No, my intent is to attempt to entertain the judges and other participants by providing humorous twists on the given prompts. The only accolades I seek are votes and comments with lots of OMGs an LOLs indicating I have achieved my goal of providing some laughs. The more people I reach and whose days I can lighten, the happier I will be.
