12th of April, 2023, early on the morning
After hours of road trip, a night in an abandoned building and a little breakfast in a coffee, she finally arrived at the Avenger's compound.
She parked the car, and took a few minutes to breathe and calm herself, things she hadn't done since weeks. She was exhausted. Physically and emotionally. The last weeks have been really tough. From her last mission, where she got injured, to this moment, where she was running away after escaping from Hydra's base where she was kept and tortured everyday for 2 weeks and half. She was trying to put her thoughts together, when the woman came out from the compound, yelling, and, apparently, raging, her red magic around her.
Wanda : WHOEVER YOU ARE, YOU SHOULD GET OUT OF THIS CAR RIGHT NOW, OTHERWISE I'M GOING TO SHOOT YOU
Sam sighed and grunted, her head still on the steering wheel.
Wanda : YOU HAVE 3 SECONDS TO GET OUT BEFORE I SHOT
Wanda : 3
Sam raised her head.
Wanda : 2
Sam caught her bag on the passenger seat.
Wanda : 1
Sam opened the door and jumped, half a second before the car exploded under the blow of Wanda's magic.
Too scared and upset to move, Sam decided to play dead.
Wanda looked at her, surprised for a second, then she realized what just happened.
Wanda *whisper*: Fuck, Sam, why didn't you get out of this car faster.
She landed on the ground, and came to see if Sam was still alive and okay, trying to catch her pulse on her arm.
Wanda : Please don't be dead please don't be dead please don't be dead please-
Sam grunted.
Wanda : Holy shit you're alive.
Sam : Not because of you, you nearly killed me.
Wanda : Yeah I can see that, I'm sorry, I thought you were...
Sam : Who? Or what?
Wanda : I don't know, but not you. I didn't expect you to come back now, after all this time.
Sam *sarcastic* : Yeah, well me neither... I haven't eaten a lot since I left by the way, I'm not even sure I can stand up.
Wanda : let's try this, get up
Sam : I'm not sure...
Wanda : Yeah I heard, and I don't care, get UP, I'll help you if you need it.
Sam got up, not easily, and stumbled. Wanda held her.
Wanda : It's okay, I'm here, let's get you to the infirmary
Sam saw stars in front of her eyes, then everything went black, and she fainted.
