30th of May, 2023 // a month and three weeks later
Sam opened her apartment's door to Kassy, looked at her and said:
Sam : Welcome back to mine!
Natasha: Thank you, I'm happy to see you too.
Sam jumped, turned and saw Natasha Romanoff, sat on the back of the chair, feet on the sitting, elbows on the knees, smiling.
Sam, defensive: What are you doing here? What do you want?
Natasha: Don't be that rough, I just wanna know why you're not back yet. Or should I better say: Fury wanna know why you haven't called him yet.
Sam sighed, still angry against Nat and Tony for how unfriendly they both had been to her.
Sam: I thought I was clear on this point: I'm not coming back, I told it to you, to Wanda, to the whole team, and to Fury, but no one never listen to me on this goddamn S.H.I.E.L.D., and that's a part of why I left at first, if you still remember this.
Natasha downed the chair, and started walking around the room, getting closer to Sam and Kassy, who looked like a rabbit trapped in front of the light of the car.
Sam put a hand in front of Kassy, like a shield to protect her from the famous Black Widow.
Natasha: Oh I remember you left because you thought everyone hated you and I can see you coming back and acting like a cry-baby in my head again when I think about it.
Sam: Well I remember you telling me that Stark was right and it never belonged there, and guess who's now in my apartment to ask me to come back? You're just a hypocrite Natasha Romanoff, you spent a lot of time telling me you were my friend and you were here for me and got my back, but in fact it was just lies and lies again, because you never cared about anything else than you and nobody got my back, even thoughts everyone said they got it. Nobody came to help me when I needed it. You are a bitch Romanoff, and there's no way I'm coming back with you.
Natasha raised an eyebrow, she was getting angry, even though she stayed apparently calm, impassive. The bigger thing that showed her anger was her voice tone, it was freezing.
Natasha: You should talk nicer to me, you know what I can do, even unarmed.
Sam: Are you threatening me?
Natasha: Oh no, not you, I would hate to hurt you, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be efficient...
She looked at Kassy.
Natasha: Her, however... I don't even know who she is.
Sam: You're not the only one who can be dangerous here Romanoff, I don't want to hurt you, don't make me need to. I don't want to come back to a team I never really was a part of, and that's my right, and you can't force me to come back there, otherwise S.H.I.E.L.D. is not better than Hydra. Now go away, I don't want to see you here again, tell the S.H.I.E.L.D. and Fury they shouldn't expect anything from me if you threaten people I love. Next time ask NICELY and I could maybe think about the IDEA to talk with y'all.
Natasha raised an eyebrow and left by the window where she came in. Kassy and Sam were alone again. Kassy looked at Sam, afraid.

Kassy: What did you mean when you said she wasn't the only one who can be dangerous here? Is there something I should know? What didn't you tell me? You couldn't be lying, or she wouldn't have gone like this when you said it. Who is she? Who's S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra? And this Fury you both were talking about?
Sam: Kass, there's part of me and my life you don't know...
Kassy: Like what? It seems to be a pretty big part of you and your life.
Sam: I- I haven't talked about it to anyone here yet.
Kassy: Here?
Sam: In France.
Kassy: But you talked about it to someone in another country?
Sam: Well, not just someone, I mean, not only one person.
Kassy: What are we even talking about? And why is there nobody who knows about it here?
Sam: L-Let's say I have abilities normal human beings don't have.
Kassy: Like what? Go ahead, I don't understand.
Sam: I can freeze water, and make ice melt, well in fact I can control water particles, so I can control anything which contains water.
Kassy: What the fuck?
Sam: See.
She raised the arm, and the water bottle on the table started to move.
Sam: See?
Kassy, horrified: But...
Sam: But?
Kassy: Human body is composed of 60% of water.
She froze, scared to death.
Sam: I'm not going to-
Kassy opened the door, got out of the apartment and ran.
Sam: Kassy!
She started running after her, and catched her arm in the hall of the building.
Sam: Kassy come back, I'm not going to hurt anyone.
Kassy: How can I trust you, I don't even know who you are.
Sam: But you do!
Kassy: You told it yourself, there's a whole part of you and your life I don't know.
Sam: And there's a lot about you I don't know either!
Kassy: YES BUT IT DOESN'T INVOLVE SUPER POWER OR A SECRET LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE FRANCE WITH AMERICAN GIRL WHO COME IN MY APARTMENT BY MY FUCKING WINDOW TO TALK TO ME AND ASK ME TO COME BACK IN SOME ORGANIZATION NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT.
Sam: Kassy...
Kassy: No! Never talk to me again, I don't wanna hear about you anymore, you're a MONSTER.
She ran away, faster again than before. Sam's shoulders lowered, she sighted and put both her hands on her face.
Sam, whispering: What have I done?
She came back to her apartment and started to cry.
