Ally's PoV
The alarm goes off at 2:30 and I wake up groggy but I'm used to it with work. I look down to see Evie sleeping peacefully in my arms. I slowly get out of bed and go to the bathroom to shower. I feel this nervousness that I've never felt before and it's killing me. I just can't let her die she is literally the only person in this world I love and the only one who loves me. I get out the shower and get changed into some jeans and a T-shirt with a jumper. I grab and extra one for evie in case she gets hot and needs to take the onesie off. I go back into my room and see Evie's awake but not fully.
"Are you ready baby" I ask softly. She shakes her head no and I sigh.
"It's going to be ok baby I will be there the hole time." I say picking her up cradling her in my arms. I kiss her head and rock her back to sleep. About 15 minutes later she's finally asleep and I grab the bag I previously packed and walked downstairs with Evie still in my arms. I walk down to the kitchen and see Matteo already down there eating breakfast. When I enter he quickly gets up and looks down at the sleeping Evie.
"Brother" I say softly for a change. I don't usually talk soft to my brothers.
"Yes"
"Just don't let her die please" I all most beg. Matteo just puts a hand on my shoulder.
"Don't worry I won't let her" he says going back to eating breakfast. With one arm still round Evie I grab an apple for breakfast.
"Time to go" Matteo say. The others are going to meet us at the hospital after school, Stefan is meeting us at the hospital with Noah and Luca and Ethan will be coming just before she goes into surgery.
We walk into the elevator and Matteo presses a button. He's wearing a similar outfit to me with his backpack over one shoulder.
"Here let me take your bag" he says.
"Thanks" I say giving him my bag.
"How's long the surgery" I ask.
"About 13 hours" Matteo says sighing. Good thing he's used to staying up for days without sleep. Being in the mafia involves a lot of sleepless nights. Evie stirs a bit when the doors open to the car park put I quickly coo her back to sleep.
Matteo opens the passenger car door for me. I get in with Evie still in my arms.
"Thanks" I say quietly.
Matteo gets in the drivers seat and drives off. We quickly reach the hospital and I get out the car.
"We are going to the 3rd floor" Matteo says walking through the automatic doors.
"I'm nervous" I blurt out.
"I know I'm to but she can't know that she already doesn't want the surgery" Matteo says.
"But you can talk to me anytime you want" he says and I just nod.
We go to the 3rd floor and Matteo guide s me to a private room with a bed in the middle.
"Let me just quickly set up then you can place her down." Matteo says going over to some machines.
I look down and see Evie is still sleeping soundly in her grey onesie. I don't take my eyes off her until Matteo says he's done. I gently place her down but she slowly wakes up anyway.
"Where am I" she groans.
"Hospital baby your having your surgery." I say.
"Hey baby girl how you feeling" Matteo comes to her side stocking her head.
"Chest hurts but other than that fine I guess just nervous" she whispers.
"Ok baby we will have a little talk before the surgery but don't worry Stefan will be here in a minute with Noah" Matteo says.
