Nonsensical poems, extreme caution suggested

I, I! eyes?

He had the most striking eyes,

 but I can't remember the color, 

I do know his smile was like no other.

 where his eyes bright blue like a crystal sky? 

Or brown with gold flecks like burning fire? 

Where they hazel light with teal under tones?

 Could they have been two orbs of green,

 shot through with colors of deepest sea?

 Maybe chocolate dark as midnight's essence?

 Or like icy streams of freshest water,

 palest pastel in their depths,

fading to darker yet?

 Or a mix of earth with hints of green,

 amber flickers across,

 merrily,

 and gleams...?

 Turquoise with flecks of blue and green, 

tints and shadow unseen?

 might be the strangest,

 eyes I've seen,

for I can't forget,

 nor can I recall the shades I'm sure I saw, 

now it's faded into memory,

 no photos to capture that clarity, 

 I tell myself to let it rest and close my eye, 

but tears leek out each time I try, 

to forget his name and eyes, and I....   

and I suppose he will never remember mine.
