"Why does this keep happening? it's frustrating." Lucy ranted again to Emma who is trying to keep a smile from forming. This is a breakthrough for her and Lucy.

"You're finally getting in touch with your emotions. Letting your barriers down." Emma stated, looking over at Lucy who shook her head "You see, that's part of the problem. I'd like them back up, thank you."

"Why?"

"Well, because these emotions are...bloody inconvenient. That's why." Lucy wasn't sure about her answer but it was better than admitting the truth. But what was the truth? She didn't know herself.

"Being vulnerable can be scary. But there are benefits when you open yourself up to someone." Emma tried her best to comfort Lucy. New feelings, especially to someone like the devil were hard for Lucy to accept, she can see it.

"I just wish I knew who was behind this. My dad? My brother? Someone else?"

"Maybe we should explore the possibility that being vulnerable can be a good thing."

"No. It can't. It means you're at someone else's mercy." at this point Lucy has become annoyed. She despises these feelings. She wants them to go away.

"Then maybe you should just stay away from everybody. Stay away from Hope." Emma told her.

"But..." Lucy paused, she knows she can't stay away from Hope, "I don't want to."

Emma smiled "Then don't."

In a shocking turn of events, Lucy did the opposite of what Emma told her to do. She avoided everyone, even Hope. She came down for the announcement of the Honor Council but then went back to her room.

Every now and then she wanted to get some fresh air and walk wherever her legs would take her. Until she found Landon and Hope talking and being all buddy-buddy with each other. That made her not come out of her room anymore.

She kept drinking and drinking. However, she can't get drunk, another 'gift' her father gave her. Pesky supernatural metabolism keeps getting in the way.

Lucy was playing her piano, something she picked up over the years. It helped her, nothing better than listening to music to calm her down.

"Do you have everywhere else to be, brother?" Lucy said as she felt a presence.

"Look at you, moping around like a sad puppy." Amenadiel mocked making Lucy stop playing and glared at him "I'm not moping."

"Sure you are. That girl will be the fall of Lucifer Morningstar."

"That girl has a name, and her name is Hope." Lucy stood up getting defensive over Hope. "And you know what? I don't care, because I'm not Lucifer Morningstar, it's just Lucy now."

"Has this girl really changed you that much sister?" Amenadiel chuckled "You don't see yourself anymore. Look at you, your feelings are all over the place. And for what, for someone like Hope?"

"Your right."

Amenadiel's smile faded "Hmm. Is that a joke?"

"No, I wish it were. But, no, you were right, and I was wrong"

"So you'll return to Hell?" He asked.

"What? No! That is absurd. No, you're right that I've changed in my time here, and that I have absolutely no control over it. And the part about Hope." Lucy explained.

"Lucy, what is so special about a girl? Especially with her family history"

"Don't you dare bring her family into this. She has already been through enough. A feeling you wouldn't know because you weren't cased out of heaven and abandoned." Lucy yet again protected Hope, but why?
