Calliope couldn't decide on whether she was going to scream or attack some innocent male.

To be fair, a great deal of these males were far from innocent.

She decided her birthday was already off to a great start as she continued trudging through the mud that suctioned to her boots, threatening to rip them from her already freezing feet.

As soon as she landed within the outskirts of Wind Haven, she was swept off her feet by a blur of a brick wall that barreled her down to the icy depths of mud. Littering her pristine armor and silky curls with filth. Not expecting the attack, she immediately went into fight mode and flipped the male over her head and straddled them with a dagger at their throat. Her nostrils flared as she recognized the scent and glared down at her brother by bond, Caelum.

Calliope's hand kept the dagger flush with the skin of Caelum's neck as she hissed in distaste.

"What in the rutting hell was that Caelum?!"

He just chuckled beneath her and grinned at her simmering features.

"Ahhhh sis, still the same up-tight cunt as I remember. I've missed you dearly."

Scoffing in distaste, and a tad-bit of amusement, I eased my dagger from his neck. Standing to our feet, I sheathed my dagger and assessed the damage to my person. Crinkling my nose in horror, I punched Caelum in the shoulder and said, "You ass! I have a meeting with Devlon and The High Lord. I'm supposed to look nice, not covered in mud and smelling of dog-shit!"

Caelum continued to laugh at my condition, but abruptly stopped at seeing my lethal facial expression. "If you wish to live, I'd advise you start running." I stated in a low, intimidating tone.

He immediately swiveled around and sprinted away from my reach when I lunged for him.

It would seem my father will have to wait just a while longer, I will get my revenge from my brother first.

***

And Revenge I did get.

It wasn't hard to outsmart Caelum. When I reached him, I tackled him to the ground and shoved his face into the shit-smelling earth. I also made sure to really cake it in his hair. I wanted to make sure the smell would linger on his skin for days.

He cried like a baby afterwards. Complaining about having to maintain his flawless features and how his hair would never be the same again. Such a child.

Despite his childish nature, i did miss my brother immensely and I was delighted to see him. But i didn't think my father would share the same sentiment.

I Knew he knew I was here. Probably alerted by one of his prized, mindless dogs. I could sense his growing anger and irritation at how I was wasting his precious time. I liked making him wait though, it brought a sort of depraved joy to my dead heart at his misery.

I chuckled just hearing his thoughts. His absolute disdain for me and the fact that he didn't have the power to control me.

This meeting would be too much fun. I grinned in anticipation for the upcoming mischief, and approached the command tents entrance.
