Chapter 1

Hi,my name is Shaylynn Michaels.I just moved to LA California from Miami,Florida with my best friend Olivia.We moved into an apartment together.Olivia wanted to move here because she wanted to meet famous people.Me,well,let's just say I have had enough of the famous people.Especially since my heart isn't fully healed yet from my breakup with Austin Mahone.Yeah,I dated Austin Mahone.We dated way before he was famous though.Lets just say that didnt end well.
Today is the first day of my new life here in LA.I decided to go to the beach.I went to my dresser in my brand new room and pulled out my neon pink bikini top and my black bottoms.I took off my jean light wash shorts off along with my Bob Marley crop top and put on my bikini.I grabbed a tank top and put it on then slipped on some black spandex.I ran downstairs and grabbed my pink lanyard,wallet,and phone.I walked out the door locking it behind me since Olivia said she would be out late.Olivia works at Starbucks to get some extra cash.After locking the door,I walked to my black jeep.For my 18th birthday,my parents bought me this jeep.I got in and started my jeep.

It only took me about 20 minutes to get to the beach from where I live.When I got there,I grabbed the blanket from the back along with my sunblock and put them both in my beach bag.I got out and looked for a spot to sit.I noticed about 12 boys playing volleyball.They were all pretty attractive but I noticed just one of them was looking at me.
He had Carmel brown hair and a toned chest.I could see his abs perfectly.He had on black Ray bans with blue swim trunks.Let me just say,I was liking this view.I decided to put my blanket down right here.I Pulled my sunblock out of my bag and started to apply it.I got everywhere except my back.I got the spots I could until a girl came up behind me and said "Do you need any help?"She looked as if she was about my age with light skin and blonde hair.She was wearing a red bikini with a gold jewel in the center of her chest.She had on black sunglasses.
"Yes please."I responded and handed her the sunblock bottle.She squirted some in her hand and rubbed it on my back.It kinda felt awkward but then again I was happy she helped.
"Thank you so much!" I said when she was finished.
"No problem" she said with a smile.Honestly,this girl was pretty.Her bright white teeth went perfectly with her hair and skin tone.
"My name is Shaylynn."I said with a smile and held out my hand for her to shake it.
"Hi.Im Marissa!"She said as she took my hand and shook it.
I glanced over at the boy that was looking at me earlier.I guess Marissa saw me because she said "You like him?"
"No.I mean,he's attractive but I don't even know his name."I said with a sigh.
"His name is Cameron.He is my friends ex boyfriend."Marissa said looking at Cameron.
"Why did they break up?"I asked Marissa.
"Honestly,I don't know.She seemed pretty pissed off at him for something but she never would tell me what.She wouldn't even tell him.He finally had enough and broke up with her.She acted like she didn't care about the breakup.That was 2 months ago and Cameron hasn't had a girlfriend since."Marissa explained to me.
"Wow."I said because that's all that would come out of my mouth.
"Yeah.I still talk to Cameron but I don't talk to my "friend" anymore."She said putting air quotes around "friend".
"He seems pretty cute."I said.
Marissa was about to answer me but I suddenly got hit in the head with something.I fell on the ground and looked up.I saw Cameron and Marissa looking down at me.
