"Shay,baby wake up"I was awaken to someone shaking me.I opened my eyes to see Cameron.

"Hey babe."I said with a smile as I sat up criss-cross on my bed.Cam sat across from me mimicking my position.He wasn't smiling,in fact,he looked stressed."What's wrong Cam?"I asked him,worry clear in my voice.

"Well,when I was little,my parents split up.My dad got a new girlfriend and got remarried.I rarely see him now.My mom didn't date for the longest time,until about a month ago.She found this guy named Dwayne.He is such a dick! He is rude to me and my sister Sierra behind my moms back,but when she's around,he acts so nice to us.He's only with my mom because he thinks he's gonna get some of the money Sierra and I make,boy is he wrong.I have tried to tell my mom about what he does but she doesn't believe me.When I went home I saw him and my mom sitting on the couch making out.He saw me and said "Get out you little bitch" and my mom just gave me a sympathetic look.She didn't even stand up for me.Her own son against that dick.So I stormed out of the house and here I am."Cameron explained.I was shocked.I hadn't ever met his mom but from what Cam had said about her,she didn't seem like that kind of person.
"Cam,I am so sorry.I can't say I know what that's like because my parents have been happily married for 24 years.But,just know that you can come here any time."I said placing my hands on top of his and lacing our fingers together.He looked down at our hands and smiled.He looked back up and into my eyes before slowly leaning in as I did the same.Right as our lips were about to touch Olivia yelled from downstairs."Shaylynn,get your ass down here now!!!!"She sounded mad so I hurriedly got up and walked to my door.
"I will be right back"I told Cameron as I opened the door and walked downstairs.
"What do you-"I cut myself off when I saw the last person I wanted to see standing there.
