I wake up to an empty bed. I sit up and look around. I frown as I realize that Newt's not even in the hut. I check the clock and it says 6:38 AM. I get up and change into ripped jeans and a tank top. I brush my teeth and hair and throw it into a ponytail. I put on my watch and put my holder on and put the knives into it. I walk out just as Minho walks out. We head to the east doors of the maze and Alby meets us there. "Hey Alby." I say. He nods and we run into the maze.

I rush out of the maze. "Help!" I yell out. Newt looks over and books it in my direction. I run back into the maze to help Minho. "Come on Minho!" I hear as we round the corner. Dozens of screams overlap each other. I keep dragging Alby and the doors start closing. Minho grabs Alby's shoulders and starts dragging him and I look at Newt. He mouths to come to him and I shake my head. I grab Alby's feet and help to drag him. "No, Thomas, no!" I hear Chuck yell. I look up and see green bean running towards us. The doors almost closes on him but he gets through. "Good Job." Minho says. "You just killed yourself." I say, and drop Alby's feet. "Come on." I say. Minho stands and starts walking to me and Thomas stops him. "Hey, we can't just leave him here. I sigh and roll my eyes. "We're already dead." Minho says. "What happened to him?" he asks. "What do you think, Shank? He's been stung." I say. "What happened to his head?" He asks. "I had to stop him." Minho says. "Come on. We can't leave him."

Me, Minho and Thomas all tug one more time on Alby's vines when we hear a griever. Minho and I freeze. "We need to go." Minho says. "No. Come on. Just one more pull and we can tie him off." Thomas says. "You shanks can die by yourselves." Minho says, running off. "Minho, you asshole!" I yell out. We start sliding but I stop myself. "Come on." I say. We tie off Alby then hide. A griever walks by, and Thomas almost screams. We take off running the other direction and I hear a scream.
