Although not too familiar with undercover protocols, Tim did not think most handlers met with their officers in motels rooms for all their check-ins, but Grey signed off on every receipt and did not say a word about the fact that Noah used to meet Lucy in parks and in alleys or somewhere else public. The Watch Commander did not want to know how "debriefing" went or why they seemed to find a need to meet every week when Foster had gone long stretches without an in person check-in with Lucy, but admittedly, Grey has a soft spot for the couple.

Tim got stuck in traffic, so Lucy checked into their motel room first. By the time he locked the door behind him, needy hands were already grabbing at the waist band of his jeans and hot lips made contact with his neck.

"Hello to you, too," he smiled but did not complain about his greeting.

"Hi, baby," she chuckled and pushed up onto her tip toes to kiss her boyfriend properly while tugging her own pants down.

Lucy was undressed within a minute and quickly stripping Tim, too.

"So, we're not even gonna pretend you have an update on the op? I have to put something in the asset report."

"The asset missed your ass," she joked with a smirk and held onto him tightly.

"Jasmine is a little thirsty," he shot back flirtatiously.

"No, Lucy is thirsty. I haven't seen you in 8 days." When did she reach the point where she could not last a week without seeing Tim? She was unsure, but there was no denying that the time between check-ins was torturous.

"I'm sorry we couldn't meet yesterday. The sting ran late, and Tamara was having a bad day..."

"What's wrong with Tamara?" She rocked back to look up at Tim curiously.

"Just some drama with her friends about something that was posted on ClipTalk...don't worry. We talked about it, and she's okay now."

"You talked to her about girl drama?"

He rolled his eyes. "Are you really that surprised? When we rode together, you told me about literally every single thing that went on in your life. You vented to me practically every day."

"That's true," Lucy smiled. "You really are a great listener. Tamara is lucky to have you."

"I'm lucky to have her."

"Have I mentioned lately how much I love you?" She swooned.

"You can always say it again."

"I'm more of a show you kind of girl," Lucy smiled and pushed him to fall back onto the bed.

Tamara was always happier when Tim came home after seeing Lucy. For one, he always reported that Lucy was safe. Also, he was always in a better mood that lifted her spirits, too.

"She's good," Tim said when he walked into the apartment and watched Tamara quietly release some tension in relief. "I know it's hard, but you don't have to worry about her so much, kiddo. You know I've got her back."

"That's the only reason why I'm not constantly panicking like when she first left. I don't trust anyone with her safety other than you."

"Neither do I," Tim admitted. "Alright, now tell me what exactly you're trying to make?"

"It's chili!"

"Really? I thought we were on a salad kick?"

Tamara smiled that he used "we". For a tough, no nonsense cop, he agreed to give up hearty dinners and have salads instead TOO easily. She thought she would need to make a solid argument, but no, he said "sure" without complaint. "I thought we could have a cheat day."
