Bleak

Chapter 1

Have you ever felt like your life has no meaning? Have you ever felt that you have no purpose on earth? Have you ever felt like people misunderstand you a lot, they judge you and condemn you!?  Have you ever felt like taking that life? Well! I have. 100 times I've taught of killing myself and ending my bleak life.

I woke up from the bed feeling hopeless-I felt  so down, I groaned at the thought that today was my first day in school. I stood up from the bed and went to take a shower, the feeling of cold water on my bare skin gave me shivers. I enjoyed the bath and wished I could stay longer but my mum and siblings were already waiting for me so i went out of the bathroom to my wardrobe, I took my school uniform from the hanger and wore it, packed my hair up in a ponytail and went downstairs to meet everyone. "Finally! we were waiting for so long" stanley one of my younger brother said while washing his hands. I looked over at him and made a funny face"good for you, I didn't even take up to 15 minutes" I said as we went to car were my mum and  my younger sister were there already sited, i greeted my mum and we went off to school. 

Ah! the feeling of the wind on my face the fresh scent of grasses and air mixed together, there was nothing more lovely as that. We bade  goodbye to our mum and went to our various classes...I had went to the principal's office to collect some books and other things i needed and kept them in my locker. In class the principal had introduced me. "Everyone she's a new student for the class, make her feel welcomed okay? good". He then asked me to say my name and give a brief introduction. "um...My n-name is T-tess and I live here".Everyone giggled, I felt so stupid after saying such...of course they know  I live here. The principal hushed everyone and told me to go take a seat, I saw a vacant space near the window, fortunately no one was there yet so I went to sit there. 

RRR!!!!!!! RRRR!!!!

After hearing the sound of the bell everyone went out for their recess but i stayed back in class...I brought out my favourite book. "GIRL ONLINE' by ZOE SUGG  and read...while reading, a tall black handsome figure came in front of me. "hey! young lady, who are you? and what're you doing on my seat?".

 Before i could answer a girl from behind said,"she's the new student Kelvin and the principal had told her to sit here, so if you wanna complain you go to the principal's office" at the thought of that Kelvin  groaned and left. The average height girl turned and gave me a smile- i smiled back at her. 

"hey! I'm Claire by the way and you're Tess right? Nice to meet you" she brought fought her hand for a handshake- i took her hand and smiled at her. "Nice to meet you too" We continued talking and she invited me over to sit with her other friends but I rejected cause I like to stay alone. 

Some minutes passed and the bell had been rung so everyone retorted back to their classes- we were having biology right now and Kelvin was next to me...his books were littered on the desk-I couldn't stand it because I like neat and organised places so I tapped him on the shoulder and told him to arrange his things but he totally ignored me like i was a ghost so I left him to be.

"phew! at least I survived, today was really exhausting. It's been a really long day" I say to myself as I was heading over to my locker in the hallway. 

"Tess! Tess! wait up", said Claire while running up to me. She seemed really famished as I am. "I came to give you the physics assignment that you forgot" 

Looking at her 'cause she is a life saver, I smiled ."Awwn! Claire thank you so much" I said while giving her a small but comfortable and warm hug. We bade goodbye to each other and left to our various home. 

I was at the parking lot waiting for my mum but it seems like she wasn't even there  yet so I went to sit under a tree nearby, I brought out my headphones and played "CELESTIAL by ED SHERAN" while humming to the music a familiar face came in front of me. I looked up and to my surprise he didn't seem like he was gonna blow up someones head. 

"Why're you here?" I asked. He looked at me and chuckled a little bit

"I should be asking you the same question, I come here everyday after school or during my free time to relax." he said 

"um...okayy" I replied back. I went back to what I was doing until I saw a quite familiar car and that's when my mum called out to me.

 I stood up and packed my things, getting ready to go that's when Kelvin held my hand saying, "Hey! I know we started off at bad first and I'm sorry about the way I reacted at first...I just don't like staying around people that much, I like my alone time a lot . Sorry" 

"No! it's really okay I understand cause I'm like that too" I said while chuckling a little bit.

He smiled at my little gesture "Thanks, so, Friends?" he said.

"yeah, friends" I said while smiling. We gave each other a handshake and bade goodbye

At home I went up to my room and took a long bath. I was really exhausted, I lay on the bed and started thinking about my first day in school, I thought it wasn't really that bad as I thought it would be.

TESS!!. I heard my name from downstairs and it sounded like my siblings were running up to my room...before i knew it the door was pushed open

"hah! what's wrong? why are y"all running like you saw a goat"

"Tess please I need your laptop" said Stanley

"No...I need it first" said Sophia my younger sis

"hold on! hold on! who is taking it?"  I asked looking confused

"me!" said Kingsley

I looked at all of them confused. "Kingsley you already have a laptop...let's do this, i'll give mine to Sophia while you and Stanley okay!"

"Yes!' they all said in uniform.

After that melodrama with my siblings I decided to watch a movie on my phone. I was watching "GINNY AND GEORGIA"Later on I decided to read my biology note and slept afterwards.
