"There's so much to the world than just love."

"Everything that goes up must come down."

These two though contrasting thoughts of mine speak alot on their own.

I have been in a rut for a while. I published my other book Disenthrall back in 2021. While the world was still suffering. As that year passed, it took away more from me than I ever had. It was hard to write then. To get any kind of word out without feeling as if it sounded foreign.

Yoongi's character has emerged from that anxious part of me. The part his music has calmed down.

I had the plot in my mind for a long while. Since I started working on Disenthrall, I have had plans for writing atleast three other stories from the same universe. If you all already did not realise it, the Yoongi in this book is from Disenthrall.

Bangtan disbands in 2016 due to something that Namjoon does. Yoongi worked hard to achieve everything that the band does alongside the other members. But, imagine, one night everything just goes down the drain. And it's not even your fault. You just wake up to find that the world is a living nightmare.

Yoongi found it hard to adjust to the change. They were seven one day. And he was alone the next. Yoongi told himself he wanted to make music. That's all he had ever wanted. So, when he debuts as a soloist. He just expects himself to make music.
The world though starts expecting him to be more.

This is about how he crumbles under the weight of expectations he never wanted.

Jieun is another character who emerged from another part of my life. The part which comforts me through hard times and pulls me back up on the shore when I'm drowning.

Jieun knows Yoongi longer than he knows her.

She knows the shit world threw at him. The way he has dealt with it all. The way he still manages to shine. She knows it all. But, Yoongi is always running away.

Until, she manages to catch up to him and adjust to his pace.
That's when they meet first.

And, throughout the time, she makes him realise that the part of him that loved him for what he did: the one the world hid away from him, it still existed.

He just had been running away, searching away for something he could have had sooner.

Jieun...in my opinion, teaches Yoongi and us that sometimes it's okay to stop for a deep breath. Because, you find the things you want when you aren't really looking for them.

If you have choose to read this nonsensical short story and somehow made it through to this part of it. I want to tell you that it's okay to stop walking for awhile and take a deep breath.

Everything will be okay. If not now, someday, one day.

Thank you.
