JUNIPER BOLTED UP AS she let out a cry, heart thudding rapidly. Thoughts and memories of Brent Higgins began to cloud her brain and it caused her to narrow her eyes, trying to make them disappear. She did not want to think about Brent Higgins. She would rather think of anything else than Brent Higgins. So, closing her eyes fully as she reached up to pinch the bridge of her nose, Juniper thought of something else.

She realised that the searing, beating pain that enveloped her being was gone. Instead, she felt light. Doozy. Like she was sitting on a cloud. And Juniper knew what morphling was. She knew what it felt like and so, it didn't take her long to figure out that someone had drugged her. Did they know about her pains? Or did they sedate her simply because they did not want to deal with her anger?

Juniper grumbled as she opened her eyes again, wincing slightly as the only colour that she saw was white. And it was truly the only thing she saw. Everything was white. The walls. The bed she was lying on. The door. Everything was clean, a sharp smell of disinfectant hitting her nose. But then Juniper realised... where was she?

This in mind and desperate to find out, Juniper swung her legs over the bed, setting her heels down on the cool tiles that were the floor. And as she did, she realised she was wearing nothing but a thin paper robe. Her hair was down. Dirt and blood did not infect her entire being. She felt clean. She didn't feel pain. She didn't feel anything, really. There was no sense of emotion, of feelings within her. Juniper Hale was simply there... but where was there?

("You're in the Capitol, Miss Hale.")

The Capitol.

How was she in the Capitol?

Why was Juniper in the Capitol? How could she possibly be in the Capitol? Did Plutarch truly leave her behind? Had he not thought Juniper did a good job of protecting Katniss? She was sure she hadn't, but she didn't actually think Plutarch would leave her in the arena. She had been scared at that fact, but never thought of it to become true. But she was in the Capitol. She was not with the rebellion. She was in the Capitol.

The Capitol.

She was going to die.

She was in the Capitol.

That was surely it. President Snow would be coming into her room of white hell with his Peacekeepers' and order her death. He would be livid, pissed that he had been played by a bunch of Victors', that Plutarch Heavensbee, his Head Gamemaker, had betrayed him. He would be in shock that they had managed to destroy his arena. And since he had Juniper in his grasp, he was surely going to punish her. Torture her.

But suddenly, another thought popped into her head. Who else was in the Capitol? Was it just Juniper? Or were there other Victors' in the same situation as her? She tried to think back to the tributes alive just as the arena was destroyed. It was her. Finnick. Beetee. Peeta. Katniss. Johanna. Enobaria. Brutus and Chaff were dead. Brutus killed Chaff. Peeta killed Brutus.
