Buck's POV:

Time has been passing by quickly as we wait for Nana's lawyer in this huge office. I keep on fiddling my amulet, my leg keeps on doing the bouncy thing and I'm on my third cup of their free coffee.

"Hi, sorry for waiting are you Robin Buckley?" a man approaching us says. I give him a nod and he asks us to come inside his office.

"My apologies for being late, I was looking for the right files your grandmother gave me for this. Please take a seat Ms. Buckley. Oh and where are my manners, I am Jude Northon I am your grandmother's lawyer."

"Nice to meet you Mr. Northon, please just call me Robin, and this is my girlfriend Hailee. I hope it's okay for me to bring her, I'm still a little shook up from everything that has happened." I replied.

"No worries, it's nice to meet you both. Well then, let's get started shall we?" He opens his laptop looking for some files, I'm not gonna lie I'm super anxious. Hailee must've noticed this because she holds my hand and gave me a reassuring nod which I know what it means.

"Alright, so your grandmother left a video file and it is in her instructions to have it played specifically for you if she ever pass away." He placed his laptop in front of us and hit play. The video starts off with Nana sitting in a place I know all too well. It's our old house, the house I grew up. She's so beautiful, her eyes looks so lively and I know it's only been months but I have missed seeing her face, hearing her voice and see her smile.

"Hello my lovely Robby, if  you're watching this it only means I have joined your grandfather in the afterlife. We've all had our shared adventures, I have seen how you turned out to be a wonderful person and I am always proud of you. There is going to be a part 2 of this video where I will be discussing a list of activities that must be accounted as my final wishes but you can only watch the second part of this video with your family. Yes my Robby, I want you to go to the Philippines so you can watch it alongside your parents and sister and it is also a part of my final wishes for you to go there. And for my lawyer, Mr. Jude Northon please take note that if Ms. Robin Buckley fails to comply to said wishes you are allowed to use your power to file her leave at her work with my consent. I love you Robby, trust that my wishes is for your own good." After the video ended, I couldn't help but slam my hand on the table. This startled both Mr. Northon and Hailee. Without saying any word, I walked out of the room.

I stood outside the attorney's office, my fists are clenched. The words Nana said in the video sent my heart into a chaotic frenzy, triggering a panic attack that threatened to consume me.

Nana's wish was simple yet devastatingly difficult for me to comprehend. She wanted to go back to the Philippines, the very place where my parents, who had caused me so much pain and trauma, resided. How could she ask for such a thing? She knows the anguish that swirled within me whenever I thought about them?

As the weight of her words pressed down on my chest, I struggled to catch my breath. My mind spun with a whirlwind of memories and emotions, pulling me deeper into a dark abyss of fear and despair. The world around me blurred, fading into an indistinguishable haze.

But just when I thought I couldn't hold on any longer, a soft voice reached through the chaos, slicing through the fog that clouded my mind. "Buck," it called out, filled with concern and love.

I turned to find Hailee, my girlfriend, standing beside me, her eyes reflecting a mixture of empathy and strength. She reached out, her hand brushing against mine, grounding me in the present.

"It's okay, love," she whispered, her voice like a gentle melody in the midst of a raging storm. "You're not alone. I'm here with you. It's okay, you're okay."

Her touch and her words acted as an anchor, tethering me to reality. With each breath I took, I could feel a sliver of calmness seeping into my trembling body. Hailee's presence alone gave me the strength to fight against the suffocating grip of anxiety.

As the panic subsided, I leaned into Hailee's embrace, seeking solace in her warm embrace. She held me tightly, her arms wrapped protectively around me, creating a shield against the turmoil that threatened to consume me.

In that moment, I realized with her by my side, I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, I could face them head-on. Her presence gave me the courage to confront my past, to make peace with the memories that haunted me, and to honor my grandmother's final wish in a way that wouldn't compromise my own well-being.

As I looked into Hailee's eyes, filled with love and understanding, I knew that I was not alone in this journey. Together, we would navigate the complexities of my past and find a way to honor my grandmother's memory while protecting my own heart. And with Hailee's unwavering support, I believed that we could face anything that life threw our way. And I know I'm gonna do the same with her.

"Mr. Northon" I say as we go back inside his office.

"Pack your bags, we're going to the Philippines."
