"Buck? Baby? Come check this out!!" Hailee yells as she runs out of the bathroom.

"What is it?"

Hailee then showed Buck her phone with a cute edit of them together that was posted by a fan on tiktok. This made both of them giggle, taking a little bit of anxiousness Buck has been feeling from last night knowing she's gonna face her parents again after years.

"Lee"

"Hmmm?" Hailee says in response.

"Thank you, I don't know how am I gonna face everything here without you."

"And it's my pleasure to come here with you, I know that's what Nana would've wanted." Hailee replied.

"Let me warn you though, my parents can be a little too much. So please be ready on whatever things and statements may unfold." Buck shakily tell Hailee. Her girlfriend pulls her for a hug and kissed her on her forehead giving reassurance that whatever she might hear she'll be on Buck's side no matter what happens.

Moments later, Leila came knocking on their door. She asked the lovers if it's okay to talk to her sister before they leave to go to their parents' house, Hailee nods in response and let the sisters talk.

"Robby, are you sure you wanna do this?" Leila asks.

"I honestly don't know. Which is why I was on the phone with my therapist all night after our little catch up, but if I don't do this now then that's just disrespectful towards Nana." Buck replies.

"Well if it makes you less anxious. Remember what you and I always do when we were kids before we face mom and dad after one of us get into trouble?" Leila extended her delicate pinky finger towards her sister, initiating a pinky swear. This made Buck chuckle, she remembers some of the good parts of her childhood with her sister. Buck did the same and interlock their pinkies.

"United front?" Buck says.

"United front." Leila says in reply and pulled her sister in a hug.

When they arrived at their parents house, Buck's heart pounded against her chest, the sound echoing in her ears. Her palms grew clammy, and she struggled to steady her breathing. The weight of unresolved tensions and unspoken words hung heavy in the air, suffocating her with each passing moment. But she take deep breaths to try and calm herself.

"Leila!" their parents say in unison, arms wide open ready to give their eldest daughter a hug. But their attention suddenly turn their attention to Robin who was standing still.

"Robby?"

She just gave them an awkward wave and smile.

Their mom was about to give Robin a hug but their dad interrupted.

"I didn't know we have additional guests for this meeting" this made Robin frown, she knows he was talking about Hailee.

"This is my girlfriend. Hailee Steinfeld. Hailee, these are my parents" Vivian expressed her warm welcome towards Hailee while Christian just nods.

"Well let's get in the dining area and eat lunch, we hired the best chef to prepare food for us." If you're wondering where are Leila's kids were, they're at home with their nannies. Leila knows what might unfold and she don't want the kids to see all the drama just like what she endured alongside Buck when they were kids.

The whole lunch is composed of little chats, and their parents talking business and all their lavish lifestyle. Out of nowhere Vivian asks about Robin's job. While she was talking about it, her father cuts her off.
