The group of teens nodded in unison.

139 years. How is it even possible for my body not to have decayed? Besides, where the bloody hell am I?

I voiced the second thought. Surprisingly, I was still in London.

My inherited home was long destroyed, a false queen died, and technology advanced. My grave had been relocated fifty years ago to a common cemetery when the Trancy Manor crumbled into disarray.

Leo stuck out his hand. I stared blankly at him and his hand.

"Everyone is probably going to hate me for asking this, but would you like to join Captain Leo and our crew on the Argo II?"

Leo was referring to himself in the third person. Okay then. I raked my left hand through my hair.

"Of course? I have nowhere else to go, do I?"

I wiped my right hand on my pants, because they really couldn't get any worse, then extended it to Leo's hand. He shook my hand, beaming.

Jason shook his head. "As long as you don't kill us in our sleep, I won't hate Leo for being Leo."

They all started walking out of the cemetery, chattering amongst themselves like birds. Maybe pigeons? Or finches? Yeah. Finches.

The blonde girl who had told me the year doubled back and walked to me cautiously. I get that. I would't trust me either.

She showed me a bowl-shaped piece of fabric. It had a stiff lip that curved off of it.

In response to my confusion, the girl spoke. "It's a hat. My mother charmed it so that it will turn the wearer invisible. We can't have you walking around London like a zombie."

I didn't know what a zombie was, but whatever. The girl placed the hat on my head, the stiff lip sticking out over my face. I looked down. My feet were gone!

A giggle escaped me. The girl rolled her eyes and began weaving through headstones to get back to her pack of fellows.

She called back, "My name is Annabeth, by the way."

Annabeth. Odd name. Then again, I'm supposed to be--no--am named Alois. My name is Alois Trancy. I am Alois Trancy. Nobody else.

I had stopped walking. When I looked around, I saw the edge of a pink shirt disappearing around the gate of the graveyard.

Sprinting, I caught up to them. I wasn't even breathing hard, even though it must have been at least four hundred meters. Weird, huh?

People began to pass us. They were tall, and short; fat and thin. Some were pale, while others were dark. None of them noticed the bloodstained weapons held by this seemingly rag-tag group.

The leader, green-eyed Perce (I'm pretty sure that's just a nickname), turned down an alleyway. It was dark and full of shit. Like him, my stupid butler. I never should have trusted him. Never. Why did I--

My trail of thought was broken by a rope hitting my shoulder.

"Found him!"

Leo was shouting from a huge golden-bronze boat floating in the air. A metal dragon replaced the traditional mermaid at the bow.
