Aiden Carter

"It's okay to be in love Aiden. You're not stupid." Although my mom keeps reassuring me I'm not stupid, I can't help but feel like an idiot.

"I just wish he'd at least tell me what it is about me that makes him not.. want me?" She frowns when I'm done talking.

"I'm sure he likes you more than you think he does. Just give it some time and he'll open up." My moms words make me feel better.

"I hope so." I stand up to place my empty cup in the sink before turning around to see her appalled expression.

I sigh and turn back around with a roll of my eyes to wash the cup. After that I start heading out because I've been here all day knowing I have to go to work in the evening and look at a house before that.

From what I know the house is a one story home just like the one my mom had recently moved into.

There was a park mentioned to be around the house so I'd be planning on actually going outside more.

I really hope the house is good because it costs more than a little bit of money. My Uber takes me to the house where I slowly walk inside.

Someone is turned with their back to me while seemingly cleaning the countertop. "Hello?" I lowly say attempting not to scare them.

"Shit." He quickly turns around chuckling upon seeing me. "Sorry the door stood wide upon." I explain.

"I be forgetting basic ass shit." He chuckles again while going to close the door as I watch him move around in his suit.

I don't know wether it's the suit or his simple attractiveness that's making me sweat but I'm hot. He's hot.

"So you're Aiden Carter?" He stands infront of me sporting his handsome smile as I nod stuck.

"Samuel Reid." He shakes my hand. "I have to say you're very pretty." He holds my hand a bit longer than I'd expected before letting go with a smirk plastered on his face.

"You don't look too bad yourself." I blush while replying. "Is that your way of complimenting me?" He chuckles.

"That is indeed my way of complimenting you." I nod, "well I'm not going to beat around the bush. You're very pretty and I'd appreciate your number in my phone." That shocks me as I never get asked for my number.

"I'll think about it." I quickly say in order not to look too flustered. He laughs shortly before walking further into the kitchen.

"When I do my tours I always start in the kitchen because this area is really important to me. I need clean water, a good stove and space to move around and put stuff down." He points at everything he mentions and even turns on the tab to show me the clean water running down.

"I feel like the bathroom is more important." I correct, "what? So you rather have roaches in the kitchen than a dirty toilet?" He crosses his arms over his chest.
