Ezra Luis Lorenze

"As of now we have settled on signing you up for our computer software where you're able to watch videos aiding you with complicated assignments. Your assignments will be read out to you and you can speak out your essays. You are not expected to always hand in papers or reach the same horizon as others."

I nod at the woman's words, "so I'll be graded differently?" I ask just to clarify. "Yes. You and many other students." She nods.

"Sounds good." I nod. "All in all you're here for basketball and usually strings are pulled for our benefit. Our team beliefs you could go pro and that makes us look even better so we rather keep the thing with your grades behind closed doors." She explains.

"Okay for sure." I assure her before she nods with a smile. She removes her glasses and then reaches out to shake my hand.

"I'll be happy to welcome you here in the next semester." This was the last handshake. I'm officially in this shit.

On my way to my car I notice that I'm not as happy as I think I should be. I really only got here because of someone who makes my head hurt.

It's been about two weeks now and I have yet to get over it but that's fine because shit like this takes time.

Honestly I don't think I can get over him.

I let out a deep sigh when I'm inside my car. Suddenly I feel sad all over again. I hadn't felt this way in forever and I know Aiden is the cause of that.

I really have to get my shit together bruh. My phone starts vibrating so I take it out of my pocket to turn it off and ignore the call but without a thought I pick up when I see that it's hermosa.

"Aiden?" Is the first thing I let out because it's hard to believe that he's actually on the call with me right now considering we hadn't talked nor seen eachother in so long.

He had been in his room and I had been in mine so shit changed from the way it was before.

"Ezra?" I know he's smiling and the thought makes me smile too. Man my dumbass might just be whipped.

"Wassup shorty." I lean my head back against my seat, "I just got most of my stuff to my new place and I noticed that I'm missing some books and a couple clothes so I was wondering if you could let me rummage your room for a sec?"

"Sure. You ain't have to ask me." I let him know, "I felt like I had to ask since we're not as close anymore so when should I come?"

"Whenever you want to." I say, "are you home right now?" He asks me, "nah but I'a be there in a sec." I tell him.

"Okay then I'll get ready." This is hurting me for real like this is really it. "You taking an Uber?" I ask him contemplating my next words because I'd hate to get rejected especially by him.

"Ordering one right now." He mumbles, "let me just pick you up." I offer. "Oh uh sure. I'd like that a lot."

"Cool." I pat my heart in an attempt to calm the rapid beating down. Suddenly my phone vibrates but I don't care because I just want to listen to Aiden.

"I sent you my location. Bye I have to get ready." I know he not tryna hang up when we just started talking.

I don't have this much courage to tell him I don't want us to hang up so I then hear the sound indicating that he had hung up.

"Aiden." I sigh. He literally has me wrapped around his finger. I'd paint the moon for him if he asked me to. At least I'd try my best. For him.

His address looks oddly familiar and it's only when I'm in the neighborhood when I realize that my grandma lives close to him.
