I was reading the Death Note Manga while researching occult on the computer at my local library.

???2:Yo Rex how's it going?

I turned to see my friend Avery Redwood pushing a cart of books.

I gave a light smile and responded in my usual monotone voice.

Rex:Good...

Avery was my best friend from highschool and was known as the popular boy even though he was just awkward much like myself.

Avery:Good to hear! Look. I know it's your day off and you look busy, but I need some help sorting all these new books.

Avery was still new here, so I closed the Manga and got out my chair to help him out.

Rex:Sure.

We got to work and got done pretty quickly, but it was getting late so it was close to closing time.

Avery:Thanks for helping me today Rex.

Rex:It's not a problem.

We exited the building and walked down the street to get something before we headed home. We both got some Mountain dew and a package of Cheez-Its.

Avery:Slow day huh?

Rex: Yeah it's a curse.

I said with a hint of sarcasm. He and I shared a chuckle then turned see a car driving on the sidewalk.

Rex:Run!

We dropped our drinks and snacks and ran like bats out of hell down the sidewalk. We ran as fast as we could, but my legs were giving out on me. So near the corner for the street I pushed Avery to the side, and when he hit the ground the car hit me. I soon found myself in a new place completely covered in RGB colors around me. I got off the ground then looked up to see the Alpha Pokémon Arceus and someone who sat on only what I could understand was a throne like a queen or a goddess.
