Rex Pov

I realized that I was on my last Pokéball so I decided to look at a few of the recipes that Arceus gave me before my journey began.

I looked at the recipes and blueprints and decided on the wooden Pokéball because they're the cheapest to make, but how the fuck am I going to learn a pocket dimension spell? I put my blueprints back into my bag and went looking for a magic shop. I found one and went inside.

???: Welcome.

Rex:Hi do you happen to know a Pocket Dimension spell by chance or someone who can teach me?

???:May I ask why?

I take out the plans for my Pokéballs and show her why by withdrawing and bringing out Inferno.

???:Incredible.

Rex:You see where I'm from it's not uncommon to catch, train, and battle monsters using these Pokéballs. Sadly this place doesn't have the advanced technology like my village did so we have to rely on ourselves doing it or magic shops. I'd do it myself, but I don't know the spell.

???: What level are you at exactly?

Rex:Not very high if I'm being honest.

???:Oh boy. Well I guess I could make these if you made the balls manually I could enhance them with the the spell since you're too low of a level to learn the spell.

Rex:I can work with that. So how much do you think that would cost me?

???:Well it's just enhancing the item and it uses a lot of Mana I would say 35.

Rex:Works for me. I'll get that for you and thank you for your time.

As I said that I put the blueprints in my bag, and withdrew all my Pokémon but Hades.

???: It's no problem. See you soon.

I left to find someone who would sell me wood scraps (that or just give them to me for free) to make the wooden Pokéballs. I found a construction site and saw a pile of wood scraps just sitting there. So I sent Loki to steal as much as he could. I got approximately eight pieces then started to carve them into Pokéballs using my Katana. I knew nothing about this but somehow it turned out fine a half of a Pokéball was done. I did the same thing seven more times and ended up with four Pokéballs. I went back to the shop and put 140 of my money on the counter.

???:Oh my! That was fast.

Rex:Yeah. So how long do I have to wait to get all four of them usable?

???:A few minutes.

Rex:All right. I'll be here.

She walked to the back room then I heard crashing. I ran to the door and opened it.

Rex: You okay?

???:Yeah. I'm really clumsy sorry...

Rex: That's totally fine. I just wanted to make sure you were all right.

I helped her to her feet and she started to enchant the wooden Pokéballs. I kneeled down and petted Hades because he's just been a great traveling companion. Minutes later the girl turned around and handed me three fully functioning wooden Pokéballs.

???: Thank you so much for your patience.

Rex: Thank you for taking the time to help me make these things usable.

We headed up the stairs and I left the building. I soon realized it was night so I decided to find a inn to sleep in for the night, and god damnit are they expensive. A one night stay costed me more than the Pokéballs, almost 300 gold coins I mean shit I can't stay in the city all the time now. I went to sleep then woke up before the embodiment of nightmares.

Darkrai:So you're the runt Arceus had me help.

Rex:Yes.

Darkrai:Very well. I might as well explain how my relm will work. Think of this world as a dungeon crawler however at the end you have to battle monsters, and if any of your party you caught here faint you don't get them in the real world. You have infinite Pokéballs to use to catch anything in your dreams. Every item you find here you can take with you win or lose.
