Destiny's POV: "I'm tired, my head hurts, and it feels as if the whole world is falling apart.

I sigh deeply and rub my eyes with the back of my hand as I peer through the small window of my bedroom at the gray sky. It's too early to be awake, but unfortunately, I can't stay in bed forever."

Destiny wasn't sure how long she had been in this new world. For some reason, she was trapped in this tower. The room was completely dark, and she only knew about this place because of an orange glow from one corner of the ceiling. Everything she did felt like it was taking forever. She couldn't even move, she had no clue where she was or what had happened to her so far (or who else could possibly be living here). Her magic powers, the one thing that allowed her to move around freely and change things about the way things worked, had disappeared overnight. Now, everything felt off kilter and strange. And although she didn't understand it all yet, she could feel something wrong about the situation.

She didn't even know how she had gotten out of the tower. It looked more like a prison than anything else, except there were bars on all sides of the glass that led out to nothing but open air. If anything, she could have sworn that the ground below her feet was moving up and down. That or maybe she was just still asleep, she really didn't know for sure. There was no way to tell since there was no outside source of light, only an orange circle glowing faintly in the distance. After a few minutes of walking around the room aimlessly, Destiny started hearing sounds coming from everywhere around her. They sounded like whispers, and each time she tried to make them out, they seemed to slip away into the darkness once again. As soon as she stopped paying attention, the sounds faded away again.

All this going on in her head was beginning to overwhelm her, so she decided to go lie down for a while and see if things would get better later on. So far, none of the walls in the room had appeared able to open, so hopefully, it wouldn't take much to fix this little problem.

All she needed was for someone or something to give her a nudge in the right direction. Then she could get herself out of here...

The last thing she remembered before falling asleep was seeing someone standing in front of the window, staring out into the unknown.

A second later, the orange light flashed brightly, and Destiny awoke with a start. A chill ran down her spine, and she found herself shaking. What exactly was that? How could she have seen someone without being able to see? Was this person real? Or was she dreaming? Those thoughts raced through her mind as she sat upright and stared around the room. The room itself was pretty big, enough space for several people to stand in. There was a large bed sitting next to the wall furthest from the entrance, a smaller table by its side, and a closet filled with clothes hanging neatly inside.

As she stood up and walked over to the closet, Destiny began pulling out various dresses and outfits, trying them on until she settled on one she thought might look nice. As she put it on, the door to the closet opened slightly, revealing another set of bright lights shining through a gap in the wood.

Almost immediately after closing the door, it reopened again, letting in a blinding flash of light that almost made Destiny jump back a bit. She shook her head, thinking that whatever was going on with this place, it certainly hadn't improved with her new clothes. With nothing else to do, she turned around and walked towards the bed. With the night slowly drawing to a close, she was starting to feel drowsy. Maybe it was best to try and sleep for now, see what would happen tomorrow.
