First Class Trial (Part Four)
Hajime: "If you're claiming that you were in the dining hall when the power came back... then you should know how Mikan was positioned at the time, right?!"
Teruteru: "W-WHAT?!!!" Bringing up the moment Mikan tripped during the party is not something Hajime wanted to talk about, especially since he knows how Mikan will react. But as of right now, it's the only thing he can bring up and use against Teruteru to prove that he wasn't really in the dining hall during the blackout.
Mikan: "Ah! Don't make me remember! I-It's so embarrassing!"
Hajime: "No, this is a very important question. Well, Teruteru? If you were really in the dining hall at that time, you should know the answer to that!"
Teruteru: "Huh? Huh, um..."
Hajime: "It was a pretty clever way of tripping, there's no way you'd forget about it so easily."
Mikan: "Eeee... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry. I showed you something so... unsightly!"
Ibuki: "H-How about it?! You can't answer, Teruteru?!"
Teruteru: "Um... um... Huh? Uh... huh? That's weird, it just slipped from my mind."
Mahiru: "There's no way it would slip from your mind, especially not a pervert like you!"
Teruteru: "U-Um... even so..." He was sweating up a storm, it was almost like he was running out of excuses. It was at this point that everyone was looking at him with doubt and suspicion, not a single person was trying to defend him. "N-Nagito... say something!"
Nagito: "Hmm... I guess you might have to give up now..."
Teruteru: "Wait... give up? What do you mean, 'give up'?"
Nagito: "Teruteru... I'm disappointed too, you know. It's lonely watching someone I admire reach the limits of their hope. It kinda feels like a broken dream..."
Hajime: "Nagito, what are you doing?! Why are you messing with the killer like that?!"
Teruteru: "H-Hold on a sec! Don't go movin' dis on your own like I really am da killer!"
Nagito: "Huh? But it's already decided, right?"
Teruteru: "Ah... hm..." This was hard to watch, Teruteru was desperately trying to think of something that'll help him avert everyone's attention, maybe even point the blame at someone else. "Da murder weapon hasn't been cleared up yet, Cher!"
Hiyoko: "It's no use! I can't understand him anymore!" Although his accent was southern, it isn't really that hard to understand what he was saying. Apparently, she thinks it's harder than it really is... don't take that the wrong way.
Monomi: "It appears he's saying... 'the murder weapon hasn't been cleared up yet'."
Ibuki: "You understand him?!"
Monomi: "But it's such a sad defence... this is too cruel..."
Teruteru: "Oh! F' you callin' me da killer den where da weapon?!"
Mahiru: "Come on, Monomi! Enough of the whimpering and translate!"
Monomi: "U-Um... he said... 'if you're calling me the killer, then where's the weapon'?"
Nekomaru: "The weapon, huh? It's not the knife, right?"
Mikan: "Judging from Byakuya's wounds... it was a thin, edged tool that's roughly five millimetres in diameter."
