*Knock knock knock*

"Elias!" Adrien waited for an answer only to be graced with a heavy silence.

"Are you busy right now?" Adrien said to the door. Still awaiting an answer from the artist.
The blonde man sighed, irked at the idea that his friend was probably just sitting in there listening to him knock until he gave up.

"Ha ha, I'm just gonna come in." Adrien chuckled wryly, pushing the door handle and unlocking the door. He swung the door open supposedly giving him a clear view of the entire room. But to his shock, the room was pitch black, the only light illuminating the darkness being beam of light that poured into the room from the hallway behind him. Light hit the bed in the middle of the room, creeping up to reveal a leg and the body attached.

Adrien burst out in laughter at the sight of his friend's body splayed across the large bed. The sound of his laughter woke the other man up, causing him to shoot awake in shock.
Elias groaned in annoyance before asking Adrien what the sudden intrusion was about.
"There's party we're supposed to attend." "Today?" The boy sat up with a grunt at the
"No, in two weeks." He said with a large grin adorning his features. "The Bourgeois family's doing. It's been planned by Audrey so it's a gathering for up coming artists to be recognised by well established names in the industry."
"Wow so we basically need to act as though we care about the undiscovered 'artists' that will be attending hmm." he concluded, though his emphasis on the word artists was quite antagonising. "I guess so, I honestly would love to meet new people. Especially those trying to become apart of the industry, it's some what refreshing to see others strive to achieve their dreams." Adrien smiled solemnly at the floor his expression genuine. "Well unlike you I hate meeting new people." "That's only because you have no faith in others."
"WOW! I'm glad you noticed. My crippling nihilism and lack of an extensive social battery disallows me from looking forward to social events such as these whose main goal is solely to talk to others." He spoke pushing him self out of the bed he sat in and walked towards the chest of drawers that stood against the wall rummaging through it for what Adrien could assume was a shirt.

Elias was wearing a cotton vest that hugged his frame perfectly almost as though it were tailored to his frame. His search ended with him pulling out a black T-Shirt with an interesting lighting pattern stitched into it. He pulled the shirt over his head putting it on with ease. The lightning pattern was stitched into the back of the T-shirt following the curvature of his spine starting from the neckline down to the hem. It was sick as fuck. The stitches were perfect seemingly done by a professional yet the actual T-shirt seemed quite normal, store bought even.

"Damn bro, where did you get that shirt stitched?" Adrien admired the craftsmanship that went into producing such an intricate design. The other absently hummed in response, processing the question before smiling. "My favourite ex." He said slyly, a joking grin on his face. But before Adrien could express his confusion it clicked. "You mean Mar-" "Who's gonna be at the event?" Adrien was cut off abruptly some what confirming his
drawn conclusion, though that was a good question.

"No clue, outside the obvious that is the Bourgeois Family, so Chloe, probably Sabrina, most likely Jagged Stone," Elias' interest piqued for a second. "Haven't seen that old man inna sec. Wonder if he's still callin' that overgrown reptile a pet." He snickered mockingly. The other roles his eyes and moved on with the list. "Um, I would assume XY and his father will be there, I don't think you've met them, I don't particularly like them but XY is a young musician like you, he's like a year younger." "I honestly don't care about XX and his mother." Elias' attention lost once again. "The weather girls should be there." "WOW REALLY?! Is what I would've said if I cared." "AH YES, Marinette...will be there." Adrien remembered before realising who he was talking to.

"Well I could've guessed that given that she works for Gabriel Agreste and is a recognised by Audrey Bourgeois for her talents." Elias spoke looking bored, not at all what Adrien had expected though he honestly had no idea of how he did expect Elias to react to the news in the first place. But knowing the rock sensation since childhood does allow Adrien the ability to see though the unbothered front the other tended to put forward.
Adrien could tell that the other was in deep thought, the subject obvious.

Marinette Dupin-Cheng.

The name of the girl that single handedly changed Elias Grey's pessimistic views on love into something so positive. The girl the had managed to be his secret muse, the number of songs in the box of unreleased songs proved this. Elias had really fallen head over heels for her. All these facts only making the truth about why they broke up even more curious. The young model was never one to pry but this matter was quite interesting.

They say, "Curiosity kills the cats," But, the promise of satisfaction brought it back.
