3. are you alright...?

you locked the door behind yourself and sit down. tears were starting to fall down from your eyes... why were you crying over a man you just met...? you were trying your best to keep quiet.

venti is still a bit concerned but he keeps talking with kaeya. after some time you wash your face and smile to yourself. you weren't going to cry over a man you just met. you can't possibly have a crush on him. you guys aren't even friends...!

after collecting your thoughts you take some ingredients for a drink and get back at the front. luckily, no one wanted a drink in the meantime. you needed the clean the tables so new customers can sit down. you take a cloth and walk towards the tables. you were trying to forget about everything that happened while cleaning the tables.

while you are cleaning one, a customer asks you to serve him some beer. you nod and quickly went back to get the cup and the beer. while walking you kind of got distracted and slipped. unfortunately, some of the drink fell into the man's clothes.

"oh..! i'm so sorry sir! here, let me help!"

you say and get a tissue. the man pushes you hardly and you fall. the man was really strong. before he could do anything, venti yells at him.

"hey! what do you think you're doing?!"

venti walks near you and helps you up. you hurt your ankle so you probably won't be able to walk properly for few days. there was a scar on your knee too. while venti was helping you walk towards the back of the tavern, you saw diluc. he must've saw everything. and he looks pissed too...

you started to overthink about what will happen. will diluc get mad at you? if he's mad, is he gonna yell at you? slap you? will he stop talking to you?

while these thoughts occupied your mind, venti had already brought you to the back of the tavern. he sat you down and started to treat your knee.

"thank you..."

you murmured. you were really nervous about diluc's reaction. venti looks at you for a second. he seems to realize what you were thinking.

"you don't have to worry about diluc. i'm sure if you explain what happened, he'll understand."

he says. his words reassures you. you were avoiding eye contact.

suddenly diluc comes in. he doesn't look angry anymore. he comes near you and bends down to your level. you were shorter than him.

"are you alright...? does your knee hurts? i'm sorry i-... sigh i shouldn't have let him touch you. i was in shock."

he tells. he looks really worried.

"i'm fine. i'm sorry... i should've been more careful..."

"don't worry about it. i'm sure it was just an accident. accidents happens all the time. it was his fault for reacting like that. he at least shouldn't have pushed you. i'm not even talking about yelling." he looks at venti. "oh and venti, uhh thank you. for looking after her." he looks back at you. "get home and get some rest. thank you for looking after the tavern for me. venti, could you please kindly accompany her back to her home?"

he looks at venti. they stare for a second and venti smiles before speaking.

"of course, master diluc!"

"you don't have to-"

"i want to help you, please!"

venti looks at you. he really looked like he wanted to help. and you can't say no to his cute face.

"fine..." you smile at him as he helps you get you get up again. he walks you to the outside. you see the angry man outside.

"you-"

venti shuts him up with a dead glare. he looked so scary when he's angry. you surely don't want to get his bad side. you both keep walking until you arrive at your home.

"thank you, venti... for umm walking me back here.."

"no problem! are you sure you can get inside your home now? i can help you if you want!"

you nod before speaking "i'll be fine... thank you, again."

"alright then... have nice sleep!"

you wave at him as he starts to leave. you get inside your house and sit on your bed. you probably needed to eat something before sleeping but you were too tired for it. you lay on your bed for few seconds before falling into a deep slumber....
