your pov:

Rodrick made by blood boil, his every action, every word he said. Everything about him made me annoyed. I've despised him since as long as I can remember

We've lived across the street from eachother for years. It's torture really. Seeing him, hearing his dumb band play. Ugh I cant stand him.

Our hatred for eachother started in the 4th grade. It seems like he's had a problem with me from the start. We had a talent show that year, I had decided to play the piano while singing "So This Is Love" I always loved Cinderella so it just seemed right. During mid performance scrawny little Rodrick Heffley steps on stage and hits me with paint filled balloons.

My stunning light blue dress was ruined and so was my pride. After that day I absolutely hated him, I never knew why he did it but one thing I did know for sure was he was a no good for nothing jerk.

Present day
Your pov:

I get up early every morning so I have the perfect amount of time to eat breakfast and go pick up my best friend Jenny Miller. Jenny never understood and still doesn't understand why I hate Rodrick so much. She says he was just a kid and I should just put it all in the past.

He threw red filled paint balloons at me, I was called Carrie up until the 8th grade. My reputation was ruined.

I picked out a cute casual outfit for today, I have a big presentation in economics. I wore a jean shirt, somewhat oversized crème colored sweater, my docs and crème leg warmers. I wore light natural makeup, I never put on too much. I'm not the best at doing make up that's all Jenny.

I then headed downs stairs to eat breakfast

mom: "good morning y/n! You look cute today!"
y/n: "thank you mom! What did you make?"
mom: "just some mini pancakes I made extra for Jenny"
y/n: "My favorite thank you!"

Jenny practically was part of the family, she was at my house 24/7. While I was eating my breakfast my mom left to go to work. Soon after I went into the garage to get into my car. As I was backing out I see Rodrick hideous white van back up carelessly. He's a horrible driver. I don't even know how he has his license.

Jenny lived in the neighborhood next to mine. Her neighborhood is as much nicer than mine, never really got why decided to ride with me when she had a car of her own.

As I'm pulling up into her driveway Jenny stepped out of her beautiful light blue house. Jenny looked as pretty and put together as always.

Jenny: "hey y/n!"
Y/n: "hii Jen!"
Jenny: "well don't you look cute? What's the special occasion?"
Y/n: " The presentation in economics"
Jenny: "oh y/n..."

Jenny was always trying to get to dress up more and do more with my appearance, she said I had "the potential like Heather Hills" Which I guess is a complement since all the guys in Plainview  were all after her. I never got why Jenny and I were friends, now she IS Heather Hills pretty. She could be in their little posse if she wanted to.

The drive to school from Jen's was pretty short about 10ish minutes. Jen loved playing her music when driving to school.

Jenny: "OMG I love this song"
as "bitch don't kill my vibe" by Kendrick Lamar. She turned in on full volume, we we're already pulling up into the schools parking lot.
Y/n: "STOP PEOPLE ARE LOOKING AT US"
Jenny was such a fun soul, as she was rolling down our windows people were looking at us.
Jenny: " LET THEM IDC"

As we're stepping out the car, Jen walks towards her friend Chris. Chris is best friends with Rodrick. Every time Jen and Chris hang out it's always with Rodrick and she always tries to get me to come. But I always declined. I continued to walk infront on Jen and Chris when I realized Rodrick had joined them.

I had first with Jen and Chris. It's not that I didn't like Chris, Chris was fine. He was actually pretty tolerable. First period was math with Ms Davis. I hated math especially in the morning.

I walked into Ms. Davis's classroom sat in the usual back corner, I rested my head on the desk waiting for class to start. Well up until I heard a loud textbook hit the desk next to me.

Jenny: "oh shit sorry y/n, I didn't mean to be loud"
Y/n: "no it's totally okay, class is about to start anyways. Oh hey Chris!"
Chris: "hiya y/n! Tired are we this morning?"
Y/n: "you could say that"

About 30 minutes into class a worksheet is given to us to do for the remainder of class.

Chris: "oh Jen löded diper has a gig at Ralph's on Friday night, interested?"

Ralph's was plainviews bowling and arcade.

Jenny: "omg I'm so down! Especially it being at Ralph's, plus you guys have been amazing recently"
Y/n: "amazingly ridiculous" I mumble
Jenny: "what was that y/n?"
Y/n: "oh nothing, this problem is just so difficult"

I was lying of course, even though I hate math it's actually one of my strong suits. I always tried to play nice when it came to löded diper. Only because it's not only Rodricks band. But gosh anything that involves him makes it impossible to "play nice" and also what kind of name is LÖDED DIPER? It's idiotic is what it is.

Jenny: "hear that y/n?"
Y/n: "oh huh I was totally spaced out"
Jenny: "tell her Chris"
Chris: "oh about Friday at Ralph's are you interested in going?"
Y/n: "oh yeah probably not"
Jenny: "cmon y/n"
Y/n: "yeah no"
Jenny: "you're no fun umh"

The last thing I needed right now is to hang out with Rodrick of all people. Especially having to listen to his drumming, it will probably kill my last remaining brain cells.

People are right junior year is STRESSFUL and we're only about 1/4 into junior year. And I'm not ready for the rest of it. Especially when it's filled with Rodrick.
