Unfortunately i woke up a bit late due to me tossing and turning all night. I couldn't seem to sleep, i stayed up thinking of what a miserable car ride i will have the next morning.

I usually get up at 6:30 but today i got up at 7 giving me only about 40ish minutes to get ready. I decided to go casual today. The usual baggy jeans paired with a white tank top. I wore my air forces and to finish it off put a gray gap zip up over top. Even though I will most likely not need it, its supposed to be hot today but who knows with plainviews bipolar weather.

I go down stairs to eat breakfast and i see Rob and Greg sitting at the table. I never quite realized they were friends. While walking to the table I see Rodrick sitting on the couch.

This morning I had coffee and toast with strawberry jam.

It's about time to leave to go pick up Jenny and head to school. I walk towards the living room.

Y/n: "hey um you ready?"
Rodrick: "I've been ready just waiting for ms president"
Y/n: "yeah yeah whatever let's go"
Rodrick: "now? We have like 20ish minutes before school starts"
Y/n: "we have to go pick up Jenny, let's go now" I said motioning towards the garage door.

I get into the drivers seat and Rodrick sits in the passenger seat. I look at him in confusion. Who does this guy think he is? If his ego was as big as his brain he'd be top of the class.

Y/n: "yeah no I don't think so"
Rodrick: "what?"
Y/n: "you, to the back" I said pointing my thumb to the back
Rodrick: "are you being serious?"
Y/n: "why wouldn't I? Cmon to the back mister"
Rodrick: "yeah yeah okay whatever"
Y/n: "what did I hurt your ego"
Rodrick: "yeah definitely ms president"

I usually drive in silence on my way to Jenny's because she plays the music but the silence between Rodrick and I was awkward? I just played whatever was on the radio. While driving I realized my mom never told me how long I would have to be taking him to school.

Just like everyday, as I'm pulling up Jen's drive way she's already coming outside. I really don't know how this girl looks so amazing all the time it's baffling. Every morning I always bring her something to eat, she has time she just picks not eat so I have to take action and make sure she eats. Today I brought her two slices of toast and a juice box.

As Jen was getting into the passenger seat she goes to put her backpack in the backseat, to only see Rodrick sitting there.

Jenny: "um hey Rodrick? Y/n what's he doing in um YOUR car? Did you finally you know?"
Rodrick: "hey Jenny" he said almost in a whisper
Y/n: "I'm driving him to school because ridiculous car is having some issues. And no I didn't finally you know"

As I start backing out of Jen's driveway she connects to Bluetooth, and starts to play her music.

Jenny: "so Rodrick any song or music you want to listen to?"
Rodrick: "no I'm fine"

The rest of the car went slow and very silent well besides the music. It just acted like background noise in all honesty. Jen didn't jam out and play the music as loud as possible today. Which seems weird because her and Rodrick don't have a problem with each other.

In first period I overheard some girls talking about how we were gonna have a partner project in home economics.

Y/n: "so Jenny did you hear about the partner project people are saying we're gonna have in home econ?"
Jenny: "yeah and it's an actual thing people aren't just saying it. It's like something to do with a baby"
Chris: "yeah I heard you're gonna have to take care of some weird robot baby with whoever you get partnered with"
Y/n: "geez sounds like it's gonna be stressful"
Jenny: "yeah yeah anyways y/n you have like the perfect gateway to finally squash things with Rodrick"
Chris: "wait huh guys fill me in!"
Jenny: "y/n is driving Rodrick to school because his dumb van is like having problems blah blah blah now y/n how about that"
Y/n: "yeah I don't know about that Jen, you can't just force me to squash things with him. It'll happen when it's supposed to happen"
Jenny: "and when is that exactly? You never try with the guy"
Y/n: "I do try"
Jenny: "whatever you say y/n"

It was now time for home economics and boy was I dreading it. I hate partner projects they make me anxious. Plus people are making this seem like the worst project in the year so far.

As class started Mrs. Jensen starts by trying to get the class to be quiet and simmer down.

Mrs Jenson: "okay so I'm sure you've heard but we will be having a new project in this class. This consists of you and your partner. And no you guys won't be able to choose I've already chosen before hand. You guys will be given a baby. It acts just like a real one, it cry's, needs to be "fed" so on. This project will take up until fall break so that's about two months. We will be still having class work so don't think this is you getting off the hook. I also have the ability to see if you're just ignoring the baby and that will give you an automatic F. Now I'll call out your partners. First is y/n and Rodrick"

You've got to be kidding me.
