"We knew your father."

Arya froze at his words, her chest tightening as it replayed over in her mind and she shook her head and swallowed, wiping her palms on the fabric of her pants and looked up at him.

"Ashton, is this is some kind of a sick joke, it isn't funny." Arya said, standing up and looking down at him and he shook his head.

"Arya, please. Sit and listen." Ashton pleaded, and she felt tears form in her eyes as he watched her, and she slowly sunk back down onto the couch, looking up so the tears wouldn't fall.

"Talk." She snapped, rubbing her face and Ashton chewed on his lip, taking a shaky breath but nodded, and cleared his throat as he thought about the words he wanted to say.

"We knew your father." Ashton said slowly, and Arya rolled her eyes as she sank further into the couch, chewing on her lip.

"You've said that already." She mumbled, and Michael chuckled until Ashton glared at him, and he quieted, while Luke and Calum sat in silence, watching Arya for her reaction.

"How?" Arya asked quietly, and Michael nodded at Asthon, who cleared his throat once again and attempted to sit in a more comfortable position, and winced as he did so.

"He erm, well he adopted us." Ashton said, and Arya's eyes widened and she shook her head and started to laugh until she saw how serious the four were, and she quieted.

"He came to the foster home that we were all staying at. I was sixteen, Michael was fifteen, Calum was fourteen and Luke was thirteen. He came to me first, but I couldn't leave everyone else behind. So, he adopted the four of us.

"We didn't know why he did, he never really explained. All he said was, "Welcome to Nemesis." He had us training, and we worked hard. It wasn't until I was eighteen that he told us why he had us training. He called me in, because I was the leader I guess.

"When he first told me, I thought he was mad. He wanted the four of us to be assassins. Insane right? Four teenagers being hired to kill someone. But he explained what he wanted us to do, and we slowly became used to the idea. He had us practice, I guess. Like get targets, but don't kill them.

"It was, well it was different. We did it, and we got paid. That's when we started the actual front of Nemesis. Became fake CEO's, had people working for us to keep up appearances, that kind of stuff. Another year passed, and I actually saw you training,

"You were on the beam, and I talked to your father as soon as he walked out. He told me that you didn't know about anything, and that we couldn't tell you,

"He told me that you were his entire world, and he made me promise him that I wouldn't let anything happen to you." Ashton said, and Arya cupped her hand over her mouth at the words from her father.

Tears formed in her eyes as she thought about everything, her head becoming clouded and she ran her hand through her short hair, and chewed on her lip as she felt each of them staring at her.

"Your father loved you a lot Arya, he talked to us all the time about how proud he was of you once we found out about you." Luke said quietly, and Arya shook her head as she felt a tear roll down her cheek, and Calum sat beside her and pulled her into his arms.

"Well, it's a good thing that we didn't hook up then, huh Arya." Michael teased, and Calum rolled his eyes as he rubbed Arya's back, and Luke glared at Michael.

"Dude, it doesn't work that way. It's not like we were actually brother and sister. We only knew of her for like a year before we actually met her." Luke said, and Michael shrugged his shoulders and winked at Arya again, making her scowl and sit up from Calum's side.

"Michael we wouldn't hook up anyways. I have better taste than you." Arya said, causing the other three to laugh while Michael sunk further into his seat, and rolled his eyes at the comment.

"I'm the best taste there is." He muttered, but Ashton winced as he moved, and Arya noticed but remained silent.

"I can't believe you guys knew my dad." Arya whispered, pinching the bridge of her nose and the four as silent as they allowed her to process everything they had told her.

"Wait, so do you know who killed him?" She asked, desperate to know and Ashton shared a look between the three and nodded solemnly, and Arya's eyes widened at the confirmation.

"Who did it?" Arya asked, and Calum cleared his throat from beside Arya, and she looked to him. He chewed his lip and she stood and looked around at the four of them.

"It was someone who was against what your father did. We know who did it, because well, we're us. We tried hunting them down, but they fled the country." Luke said quietly, and Arya sat back down as she nodded.

"Who was it?" She whispered, tears forming in her eyes again and Ashton frowned as he looked at Arya who was sitting in the middle of the floor, surrounded by the four on different couches.

"Alexandra Hawkins, formally Alexandra Curtis." Michael said quietly, and Arya's eyes widened and she choked on her spit at the news.

"My mother? I thought she died." Arya snapped, and Michael held up his hands and shook his head.

"I was told she died when I was ten. Now you're telling me that she murdered my father? What the hell?" She yelled, anger surging through her veins and she shook her head.

"Why?" She croaked out, her tears turning from sadness to anger and she clenched her fists as she looked up at the four.

"We don't know. We thought it might have been to protect you because your father wanted to talk to you about Nemesis when he called you. He was going to have us be there too, we were waiting for the call to come. But, we got a different call." Luke said sadly, and Arya frowned.

It was then she realized that they loved her father nearly as much as she did. Her and Luke were the same age and he's been with him since he was thirteen.

"We didn't know what to think either Arya, but we've been trying to track her down for a while now." Calum whispered, kissing her forehead and she nodded at his words.

"Find her. Do whatever it takes." Arya snapped, standing up and leaving the room, leaving the four behind and Ashton grimaced as he looked around.

"So what do we do now then? Pursue Milburga or go after Aryas mother?" Like asked, his voice soft and the three looked to Ashton for answers.

"We do what Arya says. We find her mother." Ashton said quietly, and Calum frowned as he wanted to go after Milburga, but realized this was for not only Arya but the four of them as well.

"What do we do when we find her then?" Michael asked, scratching the back of his neck and Ashton looked to the door that Arya stormed out of, and chewed on his lip but knew the answer.

"Whatever Arya wants to do."
