16. Trails of Oil

Olympia

WHO'D OF THOUGHT PLANNING ARSON COULD TAKE SO MUCH TIME and effort?

It took Akor three days before he texted me telling me he had all the things for it. But him having the supplies didn't mean everything else was planned. He hadn't invited me over to his house for another four days.

It took an entire week for him to invite me over.

That week was spent in bed or with a book in my hand curled up on the couch trying not to become the broody vampire who is actually a human. Or some stupid angelic hybrid bullshit thing I keep hearing about.

This time Akor had invited me to his house. I had a few ideas in mind on where he would live.

Akor looked like the type that lives in some expensive up class apartment or suite. He looks like he would fit in perfectly in Las Vegas or Hollywood. Even New York City. Anywhere bustling full of life.

Instead, I ended up in the suburbs. It was a decently secluded one but it's not exactly where I'd see a sex demon living it up.

Alas I stood outside Akor's house.

I will admit that his house does look nice. He has a two-story brick house with red and black tones to it. Then windows spread throughout as well as a garage and what looks like a very expensive car parked in it.

Now that is something I would expect.

I have no idea how old Akor is, but I assume he's been around long enough to develop a lot of wealth combined with being a fancy club owner.

I fixed out the wrinkles in my clothing before going up and knocking on the door.

Akor opened the door a moment later. A smile crossed his face as he stretched out in the doorway. And already I want to go home.

"Come in Olympia. We have everything all planned out." Akor told me.

He stepped aside and motioned me in.

Akor led me into the kitchen of his house. The inside seemed a lot more like what I have as an image of Akor. It wasn't your average suburban looking home.

His carpeting was black instead of beige and he had lots of red and black painted throughout the house with splashes of purple and the occasional pink.

In the kitchen Fortune sat at the table with her legs swung up on the table and a glass of liquor in her hand swirling it around.

She smiled upon seeing Akor and I enter. She removed her legs from the table.

"You're here. Good, take a seat we have all of the things you're going to need all set out including the date and how this is going to go down." Fortune mused.

She motioned over to the table where a pile of supplies laid.

Akor walked from behind me and sat down at the table beside Fortune.

I took a seat at the table and began to get ready for the lecture on how this is going to go. Typically, I just let lectures go in and out of my head. I spent all of my college with my professor giving lectures. I'd just wordlessly write down what he said and then look back at it.

This is different.

"To make things simple Irinora and Kyred are rival sex demons of Akor. They never liked him since he's risen in the hierarchy of hell very fast from his status. They don't like any of us actually, but Irinora specifically has it out for Akor," Fortune began.
