I don't know how to explain. Jaeger isn't who you think he is. His father is the real monster.
I shot up from the water and climbed out, grabbing my towel. My head was spinning, heart pounding against my ribs.
"Hey, you good in there?" I struggled to catch my breath, the door was pushed open to reveal a slightly panicked Levi.
"What? What happened?"
"I was just having a bath and then a voice...started talking to me. It was echoing around my head like a...I only heard something like it once. It freaked me out. I-"
"Hey. Look at me, you need to take deep breaths okay? In, one two three four and slowly exhale."
My mind slowly cleared as Levi soothed and comforted me, rubbing circles into my back as we breathed in time with one another.
"What did the voice say?"
"That jaeger isn't who I think he is. That his dad is a monster? It makes no...no sense." His gaze softened, he placed a small kiss on my forehead.
"Okay."
"Levi, it really felt...I felt so scared. Its almost as though some part of he has been in that future. As though I'm remembering the past." I whispered, though he seemed calm, the subtle widening of his eyes gave it away.
"We'll figure this out. Alright?" His gaze shifted and he cleared his throat, averting his gaze to the wall behind me. A light blush came to his cheeks.
"I'll give you some space to erm, to finish your bath. I'll get some cocoa and we could...talk some more about it. If you'd like?" I nodded before smirking.
"Why do you seem so embarassed? It's nothing you haven't seen before." He stood abruptly and cursed under his breath.
"Yes but right now you need comfort and being...being admired isn't going to help." I smiled.
"Have you always been such a gentleman?" A questioned, watching him turn to the door.
"Only for you." He mused before glancing back down to me.
"You're the only person in this shit hole worth a damn."
"Please! You're the only person worth a damn in this world. He'll, you are my world! Y/n. I can't live without you."
"Find another dream. You can find-"
"Don't push me away. Don't you dare. Please. Please, don't leave."
I felt something warm wrap around me, my vision faded and I stared at Levi, heart racing as I felt the tears pour.
"This is going to sound crazy." I whispered as levi lifted me from the bath.
"We'll think about that later." His voice shook as he carried me to our room and placed me gently on the bed.
"What's going on? Levi, why do you seem so freaked out? It was just a vision."
"Your eyes. They rolled back. You went so pale, I got you out of there. When did water start affecting your visions?"
"My visions just...come to me...when I'm relaxed so often when I'm in the tub. But levi, that doesn't matter right now."
"How can it not matter?"
"I think my visions have already happened." Levi stopped, staring at me.
"What?"
"Think about it. I always knew when danger was near, when i was going to die, I knew where the blades were going to hit me. I knew about the bandits, the attack in the woods I knew to kick the guy in the left knee. I know it's crazy but what if I've seen all of this before?" Time seemed to shift and all of a sudden, I was in the tub once more.
"What the fuck?" I shouted, levi turned to me as I frantically glanced around, loosing my breath.
"Y/n? What's"
"Don't touch me! I...I...sorry. sorry. Levi, I just...you just carried me out of here. What just happened?"
"I said...I mean I was just leaving because...well you know. Whats going on?"
"I don't know. I really don't know." I whispered, staring at him through the growing haze.
"I need to head to the dungeons." Levi sat on the floor with a stern expression.
"Why?"
"Because those boys know more than we give them credit."
