John b decided to throw a party in celebration for coming back home after the whole Santo Domingo shit and invited just about everyone on the cut. It felt so normal to be back and I was enjoying feeling safe with my close friends.

While me, Sarah and Kie were dancing to some upbeat music and drinking cold mai tais Sarah snuck out of her stepmoms beer freezer, I noticed my bestfriend, JJ, who is also my crush since third grade, staring at me with a soft smile on his face. I looked back at Sarah as she was nodding excitedly at me, she looked like she was about to burst out of excitement, her and Kie always shipped me and JJ and always told me about every little thing JJ did that I didn't see, it sometimes was annoying but I loved them for it.

"What?!" I screamed, I then grabbed her other hand and dragged her out of the group of drunk dancers to a tree that was very insight for JJ.
She was about to yell it again so I shushed her before she started speaking, she leaned closer to my ear and whispered,

"I have been keeping close eye on JJ and he has been staring at you the whole time you were dancing and did not look away for not even a second."

I blushed so hard and covered my face as Sarah looked back at JJ and giggled uncontrollably,

"He's still looking at you!"

I looked over at him and he was staring straight at me with the same smirk on his face, he knew exactly what he was doing to me. I smiled so hard I turned back around silently screamed at Sarah while she was dying of laughter.

"Go! Go talk to him!" Sarah pushed me over to his direction and ran back to the group to yell what she just told me again at Kie and Cleo for anyone to hear without a care in the world. I nervously walked over to JJ and walked over to the empty seat the was to the right of him, he did not look away from me and kept his eyes on me the whole time, admiring me and examining my face features.
