"I'M NOT HUNDRED percent sure about this guy," Yuri said, reading the contents of the folder he was holding. He glanced at Salazar and saw the chairman with his eyes closed. Around them were bookshelves in a circular. At the eye of all these knowledge was the chairman, sitting on a dusty table, the lamp barely giving life to the small space. He still hasn't opened his eyes.

Yuri focused himself back on the folder. "It says here he's not even held any positions from any organizations. Sabi ng klase niya tamad 'tong hayop na 'to. The only fuel that adds the heat of his popularity was his fucking face. Even if he won the senate position, he'll not survive the senate." Yuri waited for any feedback but none. He squinted his eyes as he realized something.

No, the chairman read this report before me. He knew this Eddie Morales didn't even deserve the popularity that he had, but still chose him to bang his head against Senator Rodriguez. Unless . . . Yuri grinned as he realized his master's plan all along. Challenge a big fish's authority and his friends will appear.

"Unless you don't care if he loses at all." As soon as Yuri said those, Salazar's eyes finally opened. Yuri's grin went ear to ear. "You only wanted to attract the big fellows."

Salazar finally stares at him.

"Senator Rodriguez won't probably ask for their help," Yuri continued, nodding, trying to piece it all together. His voice had that hiss of mystery being unravelled by his mind. "But once he realized we're giving him a good fight, he'll bring USU President Morfran. That's how we'll know the inner circles of the devil."

"What the fuck is taking him so long?" a voice from outside said.

"Papasukin ko na ba 'tong gagong 'to?" Yuri asked, staring at the door of the room. When Salazar nodded at him, he opened it. Eddie Morales entered the room, furiously alternating his eyes to the two. Yuri then saw the new guy from the fraternity, Devin Jimenez. "Stay there, make sure no one enters the room."

Jimenez nodded.

"I have been waiting for thirty-minutes!" Morales said impatiently, pointing outside, as soon as Yuri closed the door.

"Pasensya ka na, there are emergency matters to discuss," Yuri lied. They intended him to wait there for half an hour. A show of power. And a question of eagerness as well.

"More important than my election?" He said it as if implying that they were not taking him seriously. We don't, Yuri thought.

"Pardon us," he replied, raising both of his hands in surrender. As he looked at him, Yuri realized they wouldn't be able to control this guy in the Collegian Senate, if he luckily won. Then they need to be careful of driving him to his anger, it might disrupt their plan.

There are two chairs across from the chairman, facing each other. Eddie Morales sighed and sat in one of them. Yuri didn't and stood at the door. "I just want to clarify, not because I agreed to come here doesn't mean I want your offer," he said.

After the fact that you impatiently wait for thirty-minutes just for this meeting. Really, Morales? Yuri thought, crossing his arms.

"So, what's the plan, huh?"

"First, security," the fraternity chairman finally said. "We can't afford to have an open war against Rodriguez' party. The secrecy of offering you security from our fraternity is a must. For now." Salazar eyed Morales coldly. "I'll have some of my boys look out for you during class hours and as you go your way home."

"But that will expose the involvement of your fraternity in my election," Morales said. "They'll know your boys were a member of a fraternity. Your fraternity."
