a few weeks has passed, me and raven barely talk, after that day, raven texted me nung gabi.

A new message!

"hey."

"hey." respond ko.

"i have a game tomorrow, i was wondering if you want to watch?" i can feel the awkwardness across the screen.

"yeah, sure." iniisksian ko ang replies ko as much as possible.

"ah, sige, great. I'll wait for you then?"

I closed my eyes immediately after that, the next morning it was saturday, walang pasok.

Mamaya pa naman ang laro ni raven so i decided to go shopping muna sa mall, i found some cute outfit there and drank milk shake.

I went home saktong 2, 2:40 start ng game ni raven so i got ready and wore my brand new outfit, i wore a slightly green turtle neck and short sleeves partnered with black flare pants.

Medjo sosyal ang court na nilalaruan nila raven, parang sa mga uaap ganon.

As soon as i was about to leave, suddenly mom started calling me like crazy,

"oh thank god you answered immediately, charly."

" what do you want, ma?" i said in an irritated voice.

"get ready, our driver will pick you up in 5 minutes, may meeting tayo with the fajardo's." she immediately said and hang up, she didn't even let me talk.

I was devistated, gustong gusto ko talagang panoorin si raven pero ayokong mas lumalala pa ang relationship namin ng parents ko.

"hey raven? I'm really sorry, i can't go. Emergency lang."

I messaged him and put down my phone dahil nandito na ang driver namin,

He took me sa isang exquisite restaurant, with huge golden chandeliers, a typical pangmayaman restaurant. I can see mom and dad seated inside through the glass, they were seating with danica's parents pero danica wasn't there pero i saw a familiar face, nakatalikod siya so i wasn't sure.

I went inside and as soon as i was spotted,

"oh darling, I'm glad that you're here already." pagbeso nito sa akin, tuwing may meeting kami ng fajardo's they'll act as if they're the most perfect parents ever. Plastics.

"hi ma." i said coldly.

She pinched me from my elbow pero none noticed it,

As i was about to sit down, pinigilan ako ni mama,

"why don't you sit beside gavin, the new heir to the fajardo family."

My eyes widen and i immediately looked up to see gavin smiling at me awkwardly,

I sat beside him slowly, looking at him confused.

"you both might be wondering, how come danica isn't the new heir?"

We both looked at danica's mother who seemed rather disappointed.

I gulped and slowly nodded.

"the fajardo's are ran by both me and my sister which is gavin's mother, i have talked about this kay danica na if she wants to be the new heir, she need to do her best pero as when we were this close, she decided to back out. That's when gavin comes in and replaces her and dahil dito, i want to increase or for the toronto's and fajardo's collaboration be more effective so we have decided an arranged marriage for the both of you.
