Chapter 14: ep. 23

—1st day in Hawaii—

I took off my jacket before stepping out of the van we rented, I sigh at how refreshing the wind feels like without my jacket around me

"Aunty, we're not even in the beach yet" Luke said to me "Shh, kid. Mind your own business, It's hot" I told him, looking at the rest of the family getting out of the van "Aloha, Lily" I greet after seeing her on Mitchell's arm

"Aloha. Oh, wait. Let's do it one more time" My brother said for the second time "The doggy was blocking her face" He adds making me silently groan "Yeah, go back"

"No. No! No. We're not doing it a third time" Dad interrupted them, not letting Mitch inside the van again

"There she is— the prettiest white woman on Maui!" Phil run to my sister, grabbing her hand, supporting her to go down the van "Milady" He said to her while Cam takes a video of them

We all walked in the hotel, Cam still taking a video of the whole family "Hey, there y/n. How was the trip to maui?" Cam asked me, putting the camera in front of me

"Hell, it's so hot. But! I still look good, so it doesn't really matter" I smile, putting my sunglasses to my head so he can get a shot of my whole face "Yeah, I mean look at that fit, we're not even in the beach yet, but there she is" I did a quick spin for him making him hype me up more "yes, it's giving" He cheers

"Here, aunty" Mitchell brought Lily to me, so I modeled with her in my arms, Cam take video of me walking around and then I place a kiss on my niece's cheek "so excited to do absolutely nothing and just relax" I said

"I know, right? It's already so fun" Cam responded "Oh, Haley. Pose" I chuckled, shaking my head when he started interviewing the other family member. I put my sunglasses on again and follow behind the others

"Oh! Hold on, my bride. Allow me!" Phil run to Claire again and carried her bridal style, but she just stayed put making it harder for phil to pick her up "What are you doing?" Claire asked him

"Being romantic. God— you're solid" He trues his best while my sister is just staying still "Sweetie, put me down. Go on. Okay" Phil gave up and out her down

"Wow, so romantic" I teased them then walked pass them, Lily still in my arms

We all got a glimpse of the beach and pool from the hallway of the hotel "Wow" I said along with the others "This'll do" Dad nods "It's beautiful" Gloria compliments, Cam getting everything on his camera from behind

"Aloha!" We heard behind us, we all turn around and saw some ladies holding a bunch of Welcoming flower necklaces

"hi" "hello" we greet back

"Welcome to the Four Seasons Maui" The lady said then put a shell necklace to Manny "Oh thank you" I smile to her when she gave me and Lily a lei flower and then a single flower above my right ear

After the greetings Gloria hands us our room keys, so I handed my niece's back to her fathers. Mine is a single room since I have no one to stay with. Which is great because I won't near any nagging from anyone

I groan from back pain as soon as I got a glimpse of my hotel bed. I locked my door and flop on the bed, back first, so I wouldn't ruin the lei flower on my neck

But I started unpacking my thing, putting my clothes in the drawers and other things on the vanity table first. I checked out the whole place and was impressed at how clean the room is, so I decided to take a quickly shower

"Not bad" I said to myself as I stepped out of the shower, looking at myself in the mirror. Still towel on my body and hair, I walked out of the bathroom
