Giyuu curled up on himself and kept coughing. Blood and flowers came out of his mouth but he couldn't care less. He felt as if his lungs were in fire and breathing became harder. He closed his eyes, hoping the pain would go away if he slept. It took him a while to manage to fall asleep. His sleep wasn't nice though. He moved around a lot, the pain not fading away at all. He kept waking up from nightmares and falling back asleep. He felt exhausted.

Sanemi rushed his mission. The demon hadn't even faded away yet that he was already running back to the water estate. He could feel his heart beat and he hated the unknown feeling that twisted his insides. He reached the water estate and started banging on the door. Giyuu was woken up by it, wondering who it could be.

-"Giyuu! Open up! It's me!" Screamed Sanemi in a panicked tone.

Giyuu looked up to his door and sat up slowly.

-"Sane... mi?" He whispered before getting up and falling down almost instantly, coughing violently.

Sanemi heard the crashing sound and the coughing. His panic only got bigger and he kicked the door open before getting in. What he saw made him freeze. Giyuu was laying on the floor, his skin extremely pale contrasting with the blood that spilled out of his mouth and the colourful flowers that were on the ground. It was obvious the water hashira had been crying as his eyes were quite red and puffy. There was flowers everywhere. Sanemi rushed over to Giyuu and carefully picked him up and brought him back to his bed.

-"Oh god... what happened to you Giyuu...? Don't you dare die on me..." Whispered Sanemi on a panicked tone.
-"Why do you care?" Asked Giyuu before coughing more flowers and blood on his haori.

Sanemi kept quiet for a bit, looking at his fellow slayer and wondering if he was dumb.

-"Because I love you for fuck's sake!" He finally said.

Giyuu looked at him, his eyes widening and his cheeks turning a bright red as he took in the information. He then frowned a bit as memories of Samantha kissing the wind hashira came back to flash in front of his eyes, confusing Giyuu who already wasn't good with emotions.

-"Didn't you like Samantha? I saw you guys kissing..."
-"So that's what it's all about! You're a dumbass Giyuu... She kissed me without asking. I would have never kissed her. I love you and only you alright? Do I need to repeat myself again or make it clearer for you stupid brain to understand that?"

Sanemi was almost crying out of worry for the boy he loved. He didn't want Giyuu to die because of him. Giyuu was slowly taking all the information in, thinking quietly for a bit.

-"I'm pretty sure I feel the same way about you." Finally said Giyuu in a soft whisper.

Sanemi snickered at how unsure the blue eyed slayer looked but he was prepared to that since everyone knew just how bad Giyuu was with emotions. Sanemi leaned closer and gently kissed Giyuu who's eyes widened and his face flushed red. His eyes fluttered close and he slowly melted in the kiss as he wrapped his arms around Sanemi's neck. They soon broke the kiss and looked into each other's eyes, a small moment both of them actually enjoyed. It was finally broken by Giyuu who laughed softly.

-"I guess I am dumb." He said softly, which made Sanemi smiled.
-"But you're now my dumb boyfriend. So be happy."

Giyuu smiled happily and pecked his now boyfriend's lips. Sanemi smiled, a rare sight that made Giyuu blush each time.

-"You should rest now, Valentine..." Softly said Sanemi.

Giyuu nodded and curled up on his bed as Sanemi gently covered him with a blanket. It didn't take long for Giyuu to fall asleep, completely exhausted from this day. Sanemi stayed there for a bit, just looking at his sleeping lover. He then sighed softly and moved a piece of hair behind his hear and then went to clean everything carefully, making sure not a single drop of blood was left on the floor.

A few hours passed and Giyuu woke up slowly. There wasn't a sound in the house so he thought he had dreamed everything.  He sat up carefully and looked around, quickly noticing how clean his house was which also helped him think it was a dream. He got up and walked to his kitchen, wanting to drink some water. He froze as he saw Sanemi in his living room. The wind hashira was sitting on the couch and reading a book he had found in the collection of books that was scattered all across Giyuu's house. The latter could barely believe Sanemi was really there and didn't move for a whole minute. Sanemi felt eyes on him. He slowly lifted his gaze until his eyes met Giyuu's. A small smile crept on Sanemi's lips as he saw the confused expression on Giyuu's lips. He got up and slowly walked over to Giyuu.

-"Good morning Valentine." He said calmly, making Giyuu blush.
-"G-good morning." He stuttered.

Sanemi chuckled at how flustered the water hashira was. He got up and walked over to the dark haired slayer, gently pressing his lips on the other's. Giyuu got even more flustered, as if he couldn't really control himself anymore, which amused Sanemi a lot. Sanemi grabbed Giyuu's hand and pulled him to the kitchen.

-"I made you some breakfast. You need to get some energy back." He said softly while smiling.

Giyuu smiled lightly and went to sit down at the table. Sanemi had prepared some pancakes which seemed delicious yet, Giyuu was barely hungry. Sanemi noticed this but still wanted his lover to eat. Sanemi pushed a plate in front of Giyuu.

-"Please Valentine... I know you don't like eating that much..." He bit his lower lip lightly, not wanting to talk about such a dark subject just after getting together.

Giyuu let out a small sigh and grabbed the plate, eating slowly. Sanemi cracked a smile.

-"Thank you Sanemi. It's really good." Finally said Giyuu, softly.
-"My pleasure Giyuu. Finish eating and we'll go rest up some more."

Giyuu nodded slowly, smiling lightly at how thoughtful Sanemi was. Sanemi ate about 5 pancakes while Giyuu forced himself to eat 2. Then Sanemi did the dishes as Giyuu just watched him, hardly believing the wind hashira was now his lover. Sanemi felt his eyes on him and turned around to face Giyuu as he was done.

-"What?" He asked with a small smile.
-"I'm happy." Said Giyuu as he smiled and blushed.

Sanemi walked over and picked Giyuu up effortlessly.

-"I'm happy too Valentine." He said as he brought the water hashira to the bed and gently laid him down. "Let's rest now."

Sanemi got on the bed too and then Giyuu went to cuddle him. Sanemi smiled as he passed his hand in the other's long hair. Both slowly fell asleep, cuddling each other under the blanket.
