Sanemi woke up the next morning, feeling a bit off. His nose was stuffy and he felt cold. He wrapped himself more in the blanket and cuddled closer to his lover. A small smile spread his lips as he opened his eyes and was met with the said lover's angelic face. Sanemi felt like he had butterflies in his stomach because of how happy he was. He hadn't felt this happy since a long while. He pulled the water pillar closer to him. He held his face on his chest. The sleeping pillar snuggled closer and gently held onto his lover. Sanemi played with Giyuu's hair and kissed his head, making Giyuu smile as he started to wake up. He let out a yawn that made Sanemi melt for his boyfriend. He slowly opened his eyes and was met with a smiling Sanemi. He felt a blush creep on his cheeks as he couldn't help but smile back.

-"Good morning Valentine." Softly said Sanemi.
-"Good morning love." Replied shyly Giyuu.

Sanemi's grip tightened on his boyfriend as he kissed him lovingly, making Giyuu blush more and kiss back. Both didn't feel like getting up, wanting to stay in the bed, tangled in the sheets and the other. Giyuu mindlessly traced his fingers on Sanemi's chest as he just couldn't believe he was in bed with him or that the white head loved him back. He felt like he was dreaming. Sanemi hummed lightly after a bit to catch the raven's head attention.

-"I'll go make us some breakfast." He stated once the other boy looked up at him.

Giyuu nodded lightly and slowly removed his body from Sanemi's. Both already missed the contact of the other but neither dared to voice it. Sanemi sat up only to feel his head spinning.

-"I think I caught your cold Valentine." He said before chuckling, making Giyuu frown and sit up too.

The water hashira brought his hand to the other's forehead. Sanemi was indeed sick.

-"You're right... I'm sorry... you should rest some more. I can make some food."
-"It's my own fault Giyuu so no need to apologize." Sanemi said with a sweet smile, reassuring his overthinking lover. "Thank you."

Giyuu nodded lightly, feeling slightly reassured by his lover's words but also still being guilty. The water hashira made his way to his small kitchen and looked around to gather ingredients to make a somewhat decent breakfast. Everything was mostly empty as Giyuu barely ate anything. He made a mental note to himself to get some food for when Sanemi would be over. The latter was laying in bed and just taking it slow. He was lost in his thoughts, thinking of his lover until a burnt smell reached his nose. He sprung up from the bed and rushed to the kitchen where he saw Giyuu with a pan on fire and the kitchen in a total mess. For a while, he just stood there, shocked but then burst out laughing once Giyuu had managed to put out the fire. Giyuu turned to look at Sanemi and was hypnotized by the sight. It was rare to see Sanemi smile and even more laugh. He felt like he fell more in love with the man in front of him. Giyuu sheepishly walked over.

-"I'm sorry Sanemi... I messed up the food..." He said as he looked down.
-"Don't worry about that love. I'm just surprised you can't cook. How do you survive on your own?" He asked jokingly.
-"I usually eat at Mitsuri's..."
-"Don't you go there like once a week?"

Giyuu didn't answer the last question and simply looked down, fiddling with his fingers. Sanemi frowned, getting worried.

-"Valentine... do you only eat once a week?"

Giyuu hesitated but then slowly nodded. He was expecting Sanemi to get mad at him like he would usually do so he closed his eyes and kept his head down. Instead of a loud booming voice, two strong arms wrapped around him and pulled him closer. He felt Sanemi shaking ever so slightly. Giyuu quickly hugged his lover back.

-"Valentine... I'm sorry..."
-"What? Why are you apologizing for Sanemi?" Asked a confused Giyuu.
-"I should have noticed sooner..."
-"We never really hung out before... and no one ever noticed except for Mitsuri. I never ate a lot..."
-"But it's bad for your health... You could get really sick... Will you eat my food if I cook for you?"
-"... I will... Well I'll try."
