I wake up on my left side, facing the bed room wall. I blink a few times adjusting my eyes to the morning light, then I turn around looking at my clock that rest on a night stand. It reads 6:16. I sit up rubbing my eyes. I yawn and get out of bed, then I walk out of my room. At the same time Justin does. We stop in front of our doors when we see each other. He squints his eyes and says "mornin," then walks off to the bathroom.
I walk downstairs and see my mom sitting on the coach dressed in a pink robe,drinking a cup of coffee,and watching t.v.
"Hey, mom,"I say to her. She looks up in surprise.
"Morning,sweaty," she says,"Is Justin up?"
"Morning, and Yes"
"Ok,You better start getting ready for school,"she says getting up to take her coffee cup to the kitchen.
"kay,"I reply getting a glass of water. Before I go upstairs I turn my head to the t.v. wondering what mom was watching. The news anchor speaks holding Stack of papers.
"After missing for three days, the body of Ashton Cook was found at five o'clock p.m. in the back woods of the High school..." Justin's high school?
"Police are on the case of what caused his death. The funeral will be postponed while doctors inspect the body. Our prayers are with his family"
Well,that was scary. After getting a glass of water, I go back upstairs
I walk into my room and search threw my closet, looking for something to wear. I decide upon a light purple T-Shirt with a white long sleeved under shirt, and grey pants. I brush out my light brown hair then I put it in a pony tail as I excit my room.
As I'm walking Down the hall,Justin comes out of the bathroom with his hair freshly combed and wet from the shower. He's wearing a navy blue shirt, Jeans, and white Nike tennis shoes. We wave to each other,then I go into the bathroom too brush my teeth. When Im done I go back down stairs.
"Here you go,sweety,"mom says, placing a bowl of cereal on the table.
"Thank you," I say sitting down to eat. Soon Justin comes down as well.
"Morning,mom,"he says fixing him a bowl.
"Morning," She says back with a smile. He sits in the chair next to me,then we eat breakfast together in silence. Suddenly, we hear the vacuum like roar of the bus driving down our street.
"BUS!" Mom yells to Me and Justin. I quickly finish my cereal.
"Bye," mom says while waving to us as we go out the door. I put on my jacket and back pack as I run down the side walk. Along with the other kids on our street,we make our way to the bus stop. The screeching of the breaks is heard threw out the entire neighborhood.The bus driver opens the door allowing us to climb aboard. Once I'm on I scan the rows looking for a seat, then I sit in the first empty one I find. The bus is goes on its way to school. We drop off the high school kids first. I wave bye to Justin,we leave,then Soon The bus pulls into our school.
After getting inside the school gym,which is we're all the kids go in the mornings before dismissing to classes, I look around for my friends,Emily and Chase. Oh yeah, Chase won't be here today.
I sigh then push Chase out of my mind hoping the best for him. Suddenly Emily runs up to me with her blond curly hair bouncing back an forth.
"Hey!" she says.
"Hey,what's up."
"Oh, just the usual.do you know where Chase is?" She asks.She doesn't know. Why doesn't she know!?
