Billie didn't even know how it happened, but he was about to punch one of the jocks.

His anger had slowly been building up all day, he realised. It had been a fuck off bad day. His step dad gave him shit, he dropped his books in a puddle, his locker locked him out, his teachers pissed him off.

Nothing Mike or Tré or even Alicia could do, stopped his anger. And this jock ass pushed him over the edge.

So that's how he ended up at the front office, the headteacher glaring at him over the desk.

Billie twisted his fingers, his eyes stinging from anger. His Mom was going to be so pissed.

He picked at the fabric of the seat and suddenly his Mom came around the corner, all disappointed eyes. She signed Billie out and then took his arm, pulling him out with her.

He tried to explain, but she didn't want to know. Not in the mean way, she just said that what happened had happened and it was pointless getting wound up all over again.

They walked home arm in arm, and Billie had time to think about Alicia.

She had been acting weird since they slept together a few weeks ago. Billie didn't know if this was good, or bad. Did it mean she didn't want to be with him now that she knew he was bad in bed?

When they got home, Ollie fixed Billie some lunch since he was too occupied punching people to eat.

After he ate, he went down to the basement and Ollie left for work. There he sat with his guitar until it was time for Mike, Tré and Alicia to come over.

They arrived, minus Alicia. When Billie questioned her location, Mike shrugged and Tré avoided Billie's eyes.

Of course he knew where she was. But he was sworn to secrecy.

She had found him after school, crying and just a total mess in general. Tré took her to the side and she blubbered about 'being late'. Tré didn't understand.

"Like late to class? Just go to the office and they'll write you a note." Tré shrugged, finding the solution simple.

"No Tré! My period is late!" Alicia snapped.

Tré made a face. "What does that mean?"

Tré watched as Alicia stopped, sucking in a breath. "Maybe I should have went to Mike about this."

"No, no tell me! I'll keep a secret I promise!" Tré cried, suddenly excited at the thought of a secret. He loved secrets.

"It means I could be pregnant." Alicia mumbled. Tré gawped.

"Like, definitely?" He asked, holding her shoulders.

"Most likely. I haven't taken a test, but I've got one."

Tré tugged her to the bathrooms which were now empty thanks to the fact that Tré had a detention and Alicia had waited for him.

As Tré paced outside of the bathroom, it occurred to him that he had never been so terrified for another person.

When Alicia came out of the a bathroom, she just nodded and started to cry. She was inconsolable.

Tré calmed her, and he came up with a plan.

"My grandad who I never met left me a lot of money for college. But, let's face it, I'm not gonna go to college. Take the money and move, raise your baby. And tell no one. Don't stay in touch. No one has to know."

Alicia nodded blindly and Tré rushed her to his house, grabbing his tin and handing her a few wads of cash. "Look after yourself," He ordered, and she hugged him tightly then ran out.

Tré hoped, for her sake, she would never see Billie again.
