Saiki talking
'Thoughts'
"Normal talking"

Y/n walked down the row of stores, not really looking for anything particular, just whatever interested her.

and a certain boy seemed to be just that.

"huh? Kusuo, what are you doing here?" y/n asked, her head tilting in confusion.

the boy simply pointed at the "sale" sign on the clothing store, y/n's lips turned into an o shape before slowly turning into a small smile. "want to go in together? i might as well buy some clothes"

Kusuo was expecting this but the way she asked was too much for him to handle, so he just nodded slightly and walked away, not wanting her to see his flustered face.

they walked in together, y/n was immediately distracted, she ran up to the accessories isle and picked up a pair of goofy crab sunglasses. she put on the sunglasses and before he could say no, grabbed another pair and put it on Kusuo's face.

...put them away saiki said, though he had a feeling that he didn't really want this to end.
y/n stuck her tongue out at him before taking the glasses off and placing them neatly on the hook.

the pair walked around the store for what seemed like minutes, before she checked the time on her phone. "shoot! it's two already? i guess time really flies when you're having fun huh?" the girl nudged him, to that he just let out a soft sigh. "well, want to get something to eat? i'm a little hungry. my treat." and before he could say no, all of the sudden they were sat down in an ramen restaurant.

the two awkwardly sat there, before she attempted (and weakly) tried to start a conversation "so"—-
why?
y/n sat there for a good five minutes, pondering the question, thinking it over in her head. "what?"
why do you insist on following me everywhere?

he seemed to notice that she felt a little taken aback and hurt by the question, so he attempted to change the topic, being rudely cut off by the waitress who came to the table.

"..." y/n quietly ate her ramen, not even attempting to start a conversation. his question hurt her, for some unforeseen reason.

Kusuo read her mind, it was all over the place. he didn't know that his words would have this big of an effect on her, this hasn't gone as he planned. ..this tastes good, have you come here before?

the boys words caught her off guard, successfully getting her out of her head.
"oh! yeah, i come here quite often actually." y/n ended her sentence with a small smile, remembering the first time she came her, it was three years ago. Teruhashi and her had just finished cleaning at the school, tired and thirsty, they had stumbled upon the small ramen joint.

Kusuo sat there for a few seconds, just admiring her smiling face. after a while he realized he was staring and quickly looked away trying to cover it up by taking a bite.

the two had finally finished their meal and y/n began reaching for her wallet as the waitress arrived, but by the time she had dug it out of her purse, the waitress was already leaving. she looked up at kusuo who was already putting his wallet away.

"thank you"

the pair walked out quietly, side by side. "look! a shooting star!" y/n pointed at the star in the dark sky. "make a wish!"
the girl closed her eyes and thought of a wish, and when she opened them, she realized that Kusuo was still thinking, his eyes closed and his breathing steady. she didn't want to disturb him so she just stood there enjoying his presence until he opened his eyes.
let's go.

they walked in comfortable silence until they reached y/n's house, before she walked in she looked back at him and said

"thank you for putting up with me today" and with that, she shut the door. leaving him in the light of the street lamp.

the next day y/n woke up with a smile on her face.

Y/n put her hair up in a messy bun, and pushed any stray hairs behind her ear. pushing her sleeves up, she turned the tap on and washing her hands. looking around the room, she noted that she was a little short on eggs, but it should be okay for the amount of cookies she was making.

y/n carefully measured the flour, making sure the flour to baking soda ratio was just right, last time she made the mistake of adding too much baking soda, needless to say, it didn't taste the best.

cracking the egg into a separate bowl, she added a cup of milk and whisked it together.

three hours, several spills, and a few burns later, the cookies were ready! she made sure to keep an eye out for any allergies her friends may of had, and noted that there weren't any. (or so she thought)
