(3rd person's pov)

Y/n quickly rushes out of her house, still wearing a t-shirt and shorts, how could she forget to go shopping? Her fridge was practically empty, no wonder she woke up starving, she heads into the nearest store, hoping- no, literally praying that it isn't closed. She arrives at the door, seeing a certain classmate inside.

Sighing and feeling the sense of relief that the store wasn't closed yet she heads inside. She grabs all the necessities, bread, eggs, vegetables, fruits, and maybe a few snacks... okay maybe not a few. She see's that flour was on sale and deicides to buy some flour as baking is a really relaxing thing to do, especially as a teen thats in high school baking is a nice way to relax and focus on something other then your studies. (Unless you suck at baking.)

After making sure you have enough food and ingredients to last you until your parents return home, you head to the cash register and get into line. The moment the cashier finished scanning things you go to grab your wallet, but seeing how you hastily left the house she left her wallet inside her bag.

She internally curses, but before she goes to apologize to the cashier, you see your class mate, Saiki, head towards you. 'Oh no. Is he going to make fun of me not having any money on me? I hardly have any friends as it is, what if he thinks I don't have money and he spreads a rumour? Nobodies going to want to be my friend then!' Instead he just hands the money to the cashier and leaves. This leaves you shocked. You were surprised about two things, why was he being so nice and how did he know you didn't have your wallet? Still in deep thought you grab all your things and put them into a bag and leave.

Upon leaving you are greeted with the sight of the pink headed boy. "Uh thanks for helping me out back there, I really appreciate that." To that he just nods his head. When you were about to head home, you realized that his house was in the same direction. 'Maybe I should walk with him so I can get some answers to my questions!'

Much to his dismay he couldn't really say no. He didn't have any excuses that wouldn't make you suspicious of him, all the stores were practically closed now so he had no other options to agree.

"Do you want to walk together? Both our houses are in a similar direction, and I still want to find a way to repay you for helping me!" She happily says pretending that she doesn't have any other motives. He nods and starts walking. "Also I have a few questions, I hope it's alright with you if I ask you about them." She asks trying to move the topic to that. He just nods not really paying attention to anything you say. "

Well first of all, how did you know that I had forgotten my wallet at home? Or just didn't have the money." She tried to say it in a casual tone and not try to sound like she was suspicious of him or anything. I could tell from your face, while searching for your wallet you looked distressed. He felt that that was a normal answer.

"Ah okay, well how can I repay you? I can't just let you pay for my groceries without repaying you!" She said trying not to rack up any debt. You could give me some of the baked goods you were planning on baking. He replied in a monotone voice. That certainly left her with more questions then answers but they were already at the area where they go their separate ways so she just left it at that. "I'll see you tomorrow." And then they went their separate ways.

At school

(Y/n's pov)
"He did WHAT?!" I certainly was expecting a reaction from Kokomi after telling her the events of last afternoon, but I didn't expect her to blow up then pretend to be normal! "Sorry that was a sneeze." She said. How could anyone mistake that as a sneeze?! "I don't know why, maybe he's just a nice person underneath his cold demeanour? I replied trying my best to not make it sound as if I was trying to make her jealous. Maybe she really does have a crush on him...... Nahhhhh I've known her long enough to know that she would never go for the quiet type. Maybe she just want's to become better friends with him? Whatever the reason is, I know she would never let anyone get between us so I don't need to worry! Yeah.. I definitely dont need to worry... Right..?

At lunch

"Y/n! I'm going to sit with Saiki and his friends for lunch! I hope thats okay with you?" Kokomi asked. I obviously had no problems but I didn't want to be lonely so i asked- "Can I come to? When Imu first came I met them when the two of you were having lunch!" I asked being really excited to see my new friends again. We are all in the same class but i hardly ever get to talk to them because they are always talking together and who am I to just interrupt a conversation between friends? "Mhm! Sure Y/n, you know I always love to have lunch with you! I was just unsure if you knew them and if you wanted to eat lunch with them!" She replied sweetly.

We head to their table and I go up to Saiki, I can feel Kokomi watching my movements. "Here Saiki! I made [your favourite baked good]! This is my favourite so I wanted you to try it since I love it, maybe you will too?" You hand him the baked good and cautiously watch him take a bite waiting for feedback. He gives a small nod and gives the baked good a thumbs up.

You can tell Kokomi is visually upset about it. "Aww don't be jealous Kokomi! I made you one too! Here." You place it in front of her. And for a second she doesn't get what your talking about, almost as if she didn't notice that it made her upset. She quickly puts her forced smile again and apologizes profusely about it. "I'm sorry! I don't know why you thought I was upset, I'm doing perfectly well!" She takes a quick bite of the baked good and smiles "see? I'm not upset at all!"
(3rd person's pov)

Kokomi was indeed, still upset. She just didn't want to worry her best friend by being a mood killer so she put on her best fake smile and took a large bite. She hopes that made you feel better
