Thunder roared outside, a storm rolling in as Rylie slowly rolled down the street. She had the day off from the pool because of the weather and Lucy had called to ask for her help. Apparently Eleven had seen Billy doing something weird and was worried about it and Max and Eleven needed Rylie's help to make sure he was okay. Rylie wasn't sure why she agreed, or why she said yes so fast, but she was worried about Billy. No matter how much of a dick he was, and how scared of him she was, she still cared about him and wanted to make sure he was alright. And if Eleven thought something was wrong, maybe there really was just something wrong and he had his reasons for slamming her into a wall. . .not that that'd help much.

"It's gonna start pouring soon." Max huffed, her arms crossed against the window sill as she looked out on the passing sky. "We should be at the mall with Luce or, like, watching a movie or something."

"You don't believe me?" Eleven asked the red head.

"I believe you saw some super weird stuff, totally. But- You said Mike has sensed you in there before, right?" Max paused while Eleven gave her an affirming nod. "So maybe it was just like that. Maybe Billy just. . .sensed you somehow."

"But the screams." Eleven countered, her brows drawn tight together.

"He was acting weird yesterday." Rylie mumbled, bringing her left hand up to chew on her thumb nail.

"Yeah, I know, but here's the thing. When Billy is alone with a girl-"

"No." Rylie denied. "He- He wouldn't do that."

Max rolled her eyes, continuing what she was saying. "When Billy's alone with a girl, they make like, really crazy noises."

"They scream?"

"Yeah, but, like. . .happy screams."

"Happy screams? What is happy screams?"

"It's like. . .I'm just gonna lend you my mom's Cosmo." Max waved off just as they pulled up to the front of the Mayfield-Hargrove house.

"His car's not here." Rylie sighed as she pulled the car into park. "Are you two really sure we want to do this?" Eleven nodded, Max giving the blonde an uncertain look.

They went in anyway, finding themselves in Billy's room. It was all too familiar to Rylie, she had snuck in it just three days ago. Her and Billy staying up all night to watch movies on the tv they had dragged in from the living room. Neil was out for the night and Russell insisted on covering for them had anything gone wrong.

"Why do I get the feeling we're gonna find all kinds of wrong in here?" Max breathed as she stepped into the room.

Rylie rolled her eyes, shaking her head at the Mayfield. "Your brother's not that bad."

"Not my brother."

"Sorry." Rylie grumbled, walking further into the room. She stopped by his bed, a white tank-top thrown messily at the bottom. The blonde picked it up and brought it to her face, taking in a breath before sighing it back out.

Max finally walked in, making her way over to his nightstand and pulling open the top drawer. "Ugh- Gag me with a spoon." She scrunched her face up, shoving the drawer back closed. They looked in there for a minute, finding nothing out of the ordinary save for Rylie's shirt from the other day tossed in the corner. They found themselves heading toward the bathroom, Eleven insisting on looking in there too. In the full tub were bags of empty ice, floating along the top.

"The hell?" Rylie huffed.

"Max?" Eleven turned over her shoulder for a second, hoping to get her friend's attention. She walked over, stepping between the two girls and looking down into the water.
