Abraham (Abe): 

I was never more scared of the Catholic church then I was in this moment. I saw the wolf my father had become, the pain he was in during his transformation back. I felt horrible, he looked hurt. Uncle Vlad said I was to leave it to the adults, to stay a kid for as long as I could, but I saw my Dad come home in a bloody mess. The rug still has a bloodstain in it, and no one wants to do anything about it, even if Walter has been doing his best to wash it out. I knew my sisters were diving headfirst into their hobbies, my brothers were all helping mom as much as we all could. I felt horrible, and so, I made it my job to help the medical team get to the bottom of this cure. I got dressed in my military uniform, my badge that gave me clearance to any part of the facility, and went right to where they were working on his cure. 

" Baron Abraham, why are you here?" 

" To help. I was terrific in Chemistry, and I was halfway decent in biology. Let me help you cure my Father." 

" My Lord, while admirable, this isn't a place for-" 

" I don't fucking care! You didn't see the pain he was in! I am 16 almost 17, and as far as I'm concerned, this is my calling, this is how I can help Hellsing, now fucking let me do it, damn it! He's my father, for fucks sake, the least I can do is help!"

The lead scientist on the team, Dr. Collins, gave me a pained smile, and nodded gently. 

" So long as you listen and do as told, I see no issue in it. Do you remember how to look for anomalies under a microscope?" 

" Yes?" 

" Take this blood sample and do just that, taking notes on what you see. Start there, ok?" 

I take the slide with a forced smile, dry my eyes, and go to the powerful microscope we had. I looked for a good hour, noting everything different from the slide I had from before his turn. Once I took note of everything, I hand my notes over to Dr. Collins.

" Very good. Well let's see here-oh my. This isn't good. Bring me the contaminated slide, please." 

I rush to grab it, and hand it over. Collins takes it, shines a UV light on it, and the blood seems to wither, as if burning from exposure to it. 

" I was worried that was the case. It seems your father is a new breed of creature entirely." 

" What do you mean?" 

" Were-creature blood doesn't dust under UV light. Vampire does, however. It seems that the Vatican made a hellhound from mixing vampire DNA with were-creature DNA, along with something else. I think there's also Regenerator in this blood too. Notice how once the light is off, it freezes, as if to stop the damage from getting worse. Take the slide and put it in the Chems box, and lock the lid down with a small droplet of donor blood in it. I want to test something, and I want you to take notes."

I grab the clipboard and slide handed to me, and put a eye droppers worth of blood in the box with the slide. I watched as Collins opened the slide sample, and fed it a drop of blood. The sample regrew, and swelled, before settling back down as if it was breathing, living on it's own. It was like the venom symbiote, but this was far scarier, because it was Catholic made, and actually real.

" It's got symbiotic properties, but it needs blood to gain them. I'll destroy this slide, but I need you to report all this to your Mother. I'm glad to see you have the Hellsing spirit, My Lord. You remind me of your great Grandfather." 

I smile at the compliment, before leaving to tell Mom of what we found. I find her in her office, working on paperwork. Slav and Leon were sitting on the floor playing with matchbox cars, no doubt Slav was keeping Leon happy.
