"Just some random Intern, huh?" Tommy greeted Tubbo, hands in the pockets of Wilbur's hero jacket. It was cold and the teen was sure it'd snow soon. He wasn't sure how to feel about that, it'd make patrol a lot more difficult. Not that he could patrol any time soon considering half of his suit got destroyed during the mall incident. Maybe he should ask Tubbo for help.
Techno and Wilbur had driven him home after breakfast, now that they didn't have to wear their masks anymore they had made some more food, joining him for breakfast. Admittedly, it was still a little weird knowing that the hero who protected him and braided his hair was his literal boss, but he soon found that it didn't matter too much. Their dynamic had not changed in the slightest, if anything the bickering now felt much more normal. And hell he finally got to tell Techno how much the name Theseus fucking sucked.
"No I'm serious, why would you name him after some random bloke who got kicked off a cliff."
"Because it's fitting, Dream literally kicked him off a bridge!"
"I mean, yea, that was a total dick move by the way, but why the fuck some random Greek dude? You could've chosen something way better, man. The entire world listens to you, I'm sure he would've appreciated that."
"He could've just established his own name."
"We don't even know whether he's mute or not, that's so inconsiderate of you, Techno!"
"Would you rather I call him Icarus?"
"NO-"
He had gotten a little bold, but it needed to be said.
"Technically, you could call him an Intern." The young hero grinned.
"A really well-paid, important and well-known Intern," Tommy snorted in response.
The brunette strode forward to him, hands buried in the pockets of a thick winter cloak, fur lining the hood. They had decided to meet up at the café in Logstedshire again, apparently, it was the easiest to reach for all of them (Tommy just knew this was a lie considering Ranboo could literally travel anywhere with ease). Tubbo snorted as his eyes wandered over the jacket.
"Told you it wouldn't be too bad."
"You have no idea, Tubbo. They're fucking cats, all of them."
"I wouldn't know, they've never been engulfed in them with me present."
"Good for you, personal space is a nonexistent concept when they're like this."
"Did Wilbur tackle you?"
"Gods, yes he fucking did. The whole reveal was so stupid, Wilbur's literally an idiot."
"Told you they'd reveal their identities soon."
"Didn't expect it to be that soon, though. And it wasn't even planned, they didn't want to overwhelm me, and then fucking Wilbur strides in and reveals it through a text message."
Tommy had then explained how the entire identity reveal went off, Tubbo laughing hysterically and attracting a lot of angry glares from the other café guests, but neither of them could care less. It was weird, just a week ago he would've been terrified of the heroes, would've been terrified of the hero whose jacket he currently wore, but now? Conflicted emotions, they regretted their action, had yet to apologise but just knowing that they didn't hate Theseus and wouldn't try to kill him anymore was relieving.
Eventually, Ranboo walked through the glass door, looking rather out of breath. The two teens immediately stopped speaking, throwing their friend concerned and questioning glances.
