Chapter 3

billie's pov

i'm not even going to lie right now, i have a really good connection with maddie, but i know that the guys won't suspect anything and if they do, that's a way to break the boy code we have, but i'm letting my heart and feelings get to this girl. she's so beautiful, gorgeous in fact. again, i wouldn't do my homie like that, i don't wanna crush him... but i guess it's too late.

that little issue we had in the bathroom yesterday... ever since it happened, we decided to not bring it up... because, again, that's jay's girl i didn't wanna make it awkward.

right now, i was with the homies and maddie also invited her friends over too. and we all met up at her house.

as we all entered her home, i was the last one to enter and she quickly pulled me to the side outside.

"what are you doin..." she pressed her lips against mine and we started to kiss. it was really good but risky because jayden was inside and i was out here with maddie, making out with her.

"i missed us... we haven't spoken ever since... well the bathroom incident." she smirked.

"listen... mads, i get that you feel connected to me, i do too don't get me wrong but... it's wrong... i'm your boyfriend's bestfriend and it's a break to the bro code. i can't secretly be with you."

"but you are, already... it's too late..." she tells me. this was going to be really hard.

"how about we go inside, you go first, i'll catch up with the rest of them later before things get suspicious." i say nervously. i didn't wanna be mean but i also didn't want things to be sus either.

she gave me a kiss on the cheek and she smiled. damn she's so beautiful, and hot. she quickly goes inside, closing the door behind her.

soon i finally went inside and walked to where everyone were. in the living area. i saw that maddie was sitting on jayden's lap. i sat next to one of the girls and sat back. everyone was talking, laughing and smoking blunts and shit. maddie and ashley decided to order door dash. obviously i don't eat what they eat so i decided to get taco bell.

"wait, where you going, you leave early?" trent said.

"nah bro, i'm finna get taco bell, remember i'm vegan."

"oh shit, i forgot you eat grass." he scoffed.

"yeah yeah so funny, dumbass." i sarcastically replied. i grabbed my keys and i noticed maddie staring at me.

she smiles at me and i didn't wanna smile back because again... it's sus.

"wait, i want taco bell too!" maddie said. she looks at jayden and he kissed her forehead.

she gets up and follows me. i opened the front door. i walked toward my car and she walked over to the passenger seat.

"um..." she started off.

"so... about yesterday... i just wanted to say-"

"that we can't ever do that again." i finished for her. she looked at me very confused.

"ummm... i was actually gonna to say that i liked it, but since you wanna move that way..."

"you're not listening to me, shawty. i said we are not to do that again." i said while driving out of the garage.

"why not?" she asked.
"because i'm breaking bro code, maddie. i can't do that to my bro jayden."
she sighed, "fine. i mean, we can keep it a secret." she suggested.

20 minutes later...

we arrived at Taco Bell and i got our food. i ordered a medium taco and i sat down across from maddie at a booth by the window. maddie and i stared out the window for awhile until the food came out of the oven.
