Chapter 11

the next day

Maddie's POV

as i wake up, i looked around to see that i was in a completely different place. i didn't really remember much last night, coz i was really drunk and i wake up to the worst hangover.

i get out of bed to realise that i was naked. and i didn't know where my clothes were. i wrapped the sheets around me and i walked to the closet. nothing.

i looked in the bathroom and my dress was in there but there were puke stains on them so i couldn't wear that.

i just decided that i leave the room like this, with the sheet around my body.

i walked down the stairs and i could see billie and sabrina cuddling. shit, i didn't want them to notice me like this.

i slowly walked passed them and as soon as i took another step i felt eyes on me.

"mads, you're awake, it's 9:30. are you okay?" i heard billie say.

"yeah, um, i was wondering if you had Tylenol, my head is killing me." i asked. i still had the covers covering my naked body.

"yeah, lemme get it... didn't you find clothes in the closet?" billie asked, getting up and walking up to me.

"no, nothing, um... also i got a stain on my dress, puke stain, i can't wear that out."

"well, lemme get you painkillers and i can lend you some of my clothes."

"well, if sabrina is okay with it..." i said looking at her, with a nervous smile.

"yeah yea, sure i don't care."

"okay, so this is for you." she gave me a bottle of tylenol.

"come on, let's get you some clothes." she said while she followed me up the stairs and she walked to her room. i entered, waiting at her door for her to pick out the clothes for me. once she was done, she come back with a clean pair.

she passed it to me and smiled. i quickly went into her bathroom and put them on.

it was funny because the shirt i gave her years ago, she still had it and now i was wearing it.

i walked out and she smiled.

"great, how that's settled-"

"this is my shirt yk, remember when i gave this to you?"

"yeah, and you can keep it, since it was yours." she said smiling a little.

"billie, i'm sorry, about yesterday, i was so drunk i didn't mean to kiss you, it's just that... never mind, you wouldn't care." i said looking down at my fingers awkwardly.

"what's on your mind maddie?" she asked.

"um...... i still like you, and i've tried to get these feelings away for a long time but, i would never forget what i did to you and im sorry." i said, moving closer.

"maddie... you know i care for you, and i still do love you deep down, but you're my past and i didn't a lot to move on, starting a new career meaning starting a new life. i wanted to forget all the trauma you and jayden caused me-"

"what about me? when you left me? when i needed you the most?" i said, looking down, tears falling out my eyes.

"i had to, it was toxic, i had to because if i didn't, at the end of the day, i wouldn't have anything, i wish you could understand me."

"i do, it's just that, im sorry i tried you that way, im sorry i didn't mean to make you hurt, i should've known you weren't ready, i should've just stop and just i'm sorry." i fell onto the floor and cried my eyes out again.
