Omniscient's POV

Mondays were the best days for Maddison, just so that Billie could be in the same social study class with her. Usually they would just stare at each other most of the time but now.... things have changed.

They would tend to sit closer to each other but not necessarily next together. And they would still give each other glances.

As the students entered the class, they all took their seats and started working. Maddison was all the way at the back of the class. She took her books out from her backpack and her laptop. When it comes to studies for her, she's always ahead of the game. Soon the lessons started however Maddie noticed that Billie wasn't in the class. So she texted her.

me: billie? You're not in class?

Billie: oh, I'm gonna be a little late.

me: okay, I was just checking 😬 because the lesson has started without you.

billie: that's okay, you can help me catch up?

me: 😂 who told you I was going to help you🙄

billie: i did

me: umm... i don't think so...

billie: oh, you watch me.🤫

Maddison smiled then puts her phone down, then started to work on her essay.

Maddison's POV

"I'm sorry i'm late!" i heard billie say. she quickly walks past the empty spaces. she looks up at me and grins.

"was' up?" she whispered to me. i knew she was going to sit next to me.

"billie, you're never late, why you late now?"

"because my fucking mom and brother didn't wake me up. i normally wake up at 7am." she retorted back at me.

"so what did i miss?"

"well, billie, everything. we are writing the essay now."

"about what?"

"seriously, are you serious, you don't know?"

"no."

"billie."

"fuck. okay i know but just refresh my memory."

"so we are writing an essay about scammers and how it affects the people who get scammed. i'm surprised you forgot."

"fuck, shit, fuck! i forgot my laptop!"

i slightly laughed at her and then she nudged me.

"dude, it ain't funny."

"good thing i have my ipad, you idiot." i snorted then took out ipad. i passed it to billie and she quickly opened it.

"the password, what's the password?"

"oh, thank you for letting me borrow you
ipad. it's fluffy.socks.and.teddy.bear123."

"ohhh, edgy password, and thank you." she finally said. i smiled then she began typing away. i couldn't help but focus on her, the way her fingers softly touched the keyboard, to the way she would bite her bottom lip as she focused.

i really think i'm in love. i mean, she's so beautiful and attractive at the same time. she looks at me and smirks. i quickly looked away and looked at my screen.

billie was still typing. i didn't want to distract her again by staring. she looked up to see me looking at her and our eyes locked for a second. she grinned at me before going back to the computer.
it was silent between us while she kept writing. eventually, she gave me a side eye. "you aren't even trying to read the essay." she says.
"yeah, well, i didn't expect to have a partner." i replied
