In the previous chapter, Chaos and Shadow encountered the Volturi guards. The situation nearly escalated when a foolish guard provoked Chaos, almost leading her to destroy the Earth. Luckily, Shadow managed to soothe Chaos before her anger intensified. In this chapter, our Destroyers will travel to Volterra to meet the Volturi Kings. Will everything go smoothly, or will Chaos obliterate this planet?

Let’s dive into this chapter to find out!

Volterra, 1915.

“Wow! Just look at this place, Shadow. It’s teeming with humans, and they have as poor a taste in clothing as those half-season vampires. And look! I think those humans are worshipping those half-season vampires, Shadow. It’s pretty amusing, no wonder humans are only fit to be our prey,” Chaos cheerfully observed as she strolled around Volterra. Her usual smile grew wider as she saw people everywhere; the mere thought of sinking her fangs into their flesh and tasting their fear thrilled her.

The “half-season vampires with bad fashion tastes” that Chaos referred to trailed behind them. The guards maintained a safe distance, close enough to intervene if necessary, but far enough not to provoke them.

Following their near-death experience, neither the guards, Jane, nor Alec dared to infuriate Chaos again, especially after witnessing her terrifying bloodlust. Jane still shudders, recalling the sight of a four-eyed purple dragon materializing behind Chaos as she unleashed her bloodlust. Those four glowing purple eyes were chillingly cold, appearing capable of slicing through anything with a single glance.

“But why can’t I smell any pizza here? You said there would be a pizza shop here. Did you lie to me, Shadow?” ,  Chaos’s demeanor shifted from playful to threatening in an instant at the thought that Shadow might have deceived her. Her bloodlust began to permeate Volterra, sending shivers down the spines of everyone present, including the Three Volturi Kings.

The Volturi guards started to panic, uncertain of what to do. Only Shadow remained calm, displaying no signs of fear or concern. “No, I merely suggested that there ‘might’ be a pizza store in Volterra. I didn’t promise it. But if you want, after meeting those guys, I can make you a huge pizza with human flesh and blood wine to go with it... But only after we’ve met them" ,  he reassured Chaos, noticing her changing expression.

“Oh... Okay, but that wouldn’t be a pizza anymore, but a Huzza... And I’ll wait for it, but that pizza should be worth my patience" ,  Chaos responded, her face reverting to its usual smiling appearance.

After a leisurely stroll at a human’s pace around Volterra, they finally arrived at the massive door of the throne room. As Jane opened the door, keen to report something crucial to her master, our Destroyers’ gaze fell upon a large throne room with three thrones, two of which were occupied.

“Welcome! Welcome to Volterra, my friends! It’s a pleasure to meet you" ,  Aro greeted them with a smile, then turned to Jane to learn what had transpired. He was struck by Chaos’s powers and bloodlust, realizing that Jane herself was terrified of her. He also noted that their abilities seemed useless against Chaos and Shadow.

“Hey, don’t tell me you half-season vampires interrupted our meal and invited us here just to watch you two get intimate" ,  Chaos interjected, her face twisted in disgust at the thought of love and intimacy.

The thought of being bound to another creature by something called love always makes her feel disgusted, no matter what form it takes.

Her words broke the silence, replacing it with an awkward tension. Before Aro could explain, an annoyed voice shouted out, “HEY YOU!!! LOWLY CREATURE!!! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TALKING TO?”
