Logan wakes me up by sliding his hand under my tank. That's all it takes for us to go for round two.
As I am tugging my shorts back on, Logan asks, "Breakfast? Or shit, lunch?" I freeze as I stand there topless with my shorts on and look at the clock on the nightstand.
"Oh shit!" I panic as I snatch my shirt off the floor. "I have to be down with Ana in a half hour."
"For what?"
"I'm putting together the centerpieces and bouquets today, remember? While you all go jet skiing. Isn't that what you all decided on yesterday?"
"Oh right," Logan says, clearly forgetting the itinerary for today. I yank my phone off the nightstand and see the bridal chat blowing up. Apparently, no one knows how to check into the jet skis, and Tory asked if I could book them for the group.
"For fucks sake," I mutter as I quickly type, go check with the concierge. I am meeting with the event coordinator to do the flowers; otherwise, I would.
"What's wrong?" He asks me as I fly around his room to get all of my shit together.
"No one actually booked the jet skis for today, and apparently no one knows how to. I booked the resort, the dinner reservations, the horseback riding, the spa day, and the yacht for tonight. I know I am the wedding planner, but one of the eleven of you should know how to find jet skis."
"Head to the beach? Or ask the concierge?" Logan replies with a shrug. I kiss him on the lips before saying, "Add another reason to the list. You can book jet skis."
I have my hand on the handle of the door when he says, "Wait, hold on. How am I supposed to play this?" He points between us, and I look over my shoulder as I reply, "Tory knows I left the club to come see you last night. If she told Maddie, everyone already knows."
"So we can be open with this?"
"Unless there is a reason you don't want to be?" I ask.
I hold my breath until he says, "No, I'm good to flaunt it."
"Flaunt it if you got it, and boy, you got it," I say with a grin as I pull the door open. "I'll text you when I am done with the flowers and see where you all are at."
"Have fun," he says sarcastically, but he doesn't know that flower arranging is far more fun for me than anything the beach has to offer.
I'm dashing down the hallway, and as I am pushing my door open, I see Emma calling me. I desperately want to talk to her, but I know I need to get my ass in the shower. I let her know that I'll call her in twenty and fly through getting ready. We don't have anything matching to wear until the yacht tonight, so I dress in my favorite long flowy maxi dress from Free People that has an open back and makes me feel très chic.
I am just about to leave the bathroom when I spot a dark, splotchy hickey on my neck. My hand flies to my throat in shock. I have never had a hickey.
He is totally fine to flaunt this.
I mask it in my foundation and hope my sweat won't reveal my secret. It's weird to have my entire brain consumed by a man who isn't Chase. I hardly remember what it's like to have a crush go both ways. It's not all just a fantasy in my head.
Logan consumes me the entire time I get ready, and I am anxious to find him later. I want to stay absorbed in the Logan cloud that's currently enveloping me, but I also need to prepare myself to leave this in Mexico if everything he's putting out there is just to be some vacation fling. He's been a great distraction from who I thought was the love of my life, getting married, and maybe that's all he'll end up being.
