Ada bent over, inspecting the shop.

"What a mess..." she muttered.

Leon stepped into the shop behind you, shaking himself off from the rain. Something just wasn't right.

You walked around the trashed store, finding another grenade, and a long barrel.

"Leon, c'mere."

His quick footsteps made you turn, and you tossed it at him.

"For your shotgun."

He nodded, catching it. You both continued to observe the shop, finding some handgun ammo. You walked away, before something cold brushed against your neck.

"Don't move," he whispered.

"Take it easy," you told the man.

"I said DON'T MOVE!" The man screamed.

"We're just passing through. I'm a cop, okay? Take it easy," you repeated. "Drop your weapon."

"You? A cop? Yeah, right."

Leon stepped forward, and the man jumped.

"Leave," the man ordered.

With him distracted, you stared at a small figure behind him.

"What's your name, sweetie?" You called.

The child had no reaction.

"Don't look at my daughter," the man spat, whipping around to you.

"Your daughter needs help," Leon urged, scooching closer.

"Don't tell me how to deal with my daughter," the man cocked his gun, still aimed at you.

"Drop it!" Ada ordered, raising her own gun.

With him distracted, Leon pulled out Matilda.

"Everyone calm down!" You barked, and they all turned to you.

"We need to terminate the girl before she turns," Ada told you.

"We're not 'terminating' anyone," you said sternly, before stepping closer to the man, hands raised.

"I really don't think —" Leon began.

"It's okay," you whispered to the man. "We just wanted to find a way out of the city. We didn't know you were here. We'll leave."

The man stared at you, skeptical. He didn't lower his gun.

"Emma, sweetheart," he began, not looking back. "I told you to stay put..."

The girl's breathing was raspy, and she was slow to stimuli.

"Daddy?..." she called.

He finally backed away, hurriedly walking towards his child.
