_______________________________It was August 24, 2017, and ellexenders 14th birthday we were at our grandma's house for his party all that mattered was him, his joy, his happiness, and how he was feeling, to be honest, he was so happy to see that all these people came together to make him happy for his birthday. He had done everything already he had gone out and played with his friends and siblings, and he had talked to Grandma and thanked her for the party, he had already drunk at least 17 Capri Suns, and his favorite part of all of his birthdays was coming up. Cake. As everyone sang happy birthday to him and Grandma was walking into the room with the cake and sat it in front of him he felt so happy the end came the song and he blew out the candles making one wish 'I wish that everyone can always be this happy' opened his eyes and there everyone stood looking at him happy for him even he was happy himself but grandma said he had to wait to cut the cake and to open his presents. He rushed to open the ones that sat in front of him as he opened all his presents getting all the stuff he liked shoes, clothes, and new controllers, he even got a Nintendo Switch, but coming to the last gift was a small rectangular box, he opened it it was an iPhone box and a note he had opened to box staring at the phone in awe then he picked up the small piece of paper that read
'You old enough to make decisions, you're on your own. -Mom'
Reading this note confused him he looked around for his mother but then he realized, everyone was there but his mother. All of his friends and cousins congratulated him he just kept looking around looking for her.
At the end of the night when everyone had gone home, his grandmother told him and his siblings to get their stuff because they were going home 'Maybe she's just at home he told himself brushing off his anxiety as they pulled up to the house and the kids got out of the car and walked up to the house he knocked on the door but no one answered he knocked again but then just decided to use the spare key he put his stuff away and went upstairs to check on his mom but when he walked into the room he saw nothing. It was empty, if this was happening then he would have to protect his siblings and provide for them his siblings tried to walk in but he stopped them and just told them that mom wasn't feeling good.'Why would she do this to us, to me? I thought she loved us.'
